Explorers hear stories
about Brazil broadcasts
— by SID DALEY
We have finally got our "Hodge
Podge" scrapbook • started,
comrades, Admittedly there is
not too much pasted in it as yet
but we have hopes. Dig down into
those hideaway places around the
house, comrades and friends, you
will be surprised at what you can
find, Any newspaper clipping or
snap will be welcome.
What better way to preserve
for all time 540's interesting
formation from 1953 to the
present, than to post it all into one
scrapbook? With your help we
can compile an interesting and
entertaining scrapbook.
Incidentally the 1970 scrapbook
has been completed covering all
our 1970 activities and is
available in the Sea, Land & Air
Lounge for your perusal.
Saints presarve us, 'twas a
turrible thing oi did last week.
Imagine, making a LAD WITH A
NAME LIKE Stuckless, and a
Newfie at that, Honorary Irish-
man! I belaive oi have the
solution; so 'till after the
celebration' at the Legion Hall on
March 20th to celebrat' our
glorious patron Saint, our Newfie
benefactor will be known as
"O'Stuckless."

Librarian at
Lent service
The second in the series of five
Wednesday morning Lenten
discussion groups met with very
interesting guests.
Glen Curnoe, history librarian
of London Public Library,
commented on the display of
books which he had brought, and
gave book lists under a variety of
subjects.
C. Ramsey, London, gave an
account of his work with youth
and their parents, arising from
his position as probation officer
for Family Court. This group
evidently had a good discussion
which continued during coffee
break.
As usual, both children's
nurseries were scenes of much
activity and excitement. Linda
Patterson played hostess in
"Winkie Bear's House", and
invited other children for tea.
Touch and Tell was most en-
joyed. Mrs. J. Atkinson reported
greater interest in two story
books from Lucan Library. Mrs.
Don McComb and Mrs. Robt.
Woodward cared for infants and
toddlers, and Mrs. G. Haskett
and Mrs. R. Ling who took charge
of older pre-schoolers.
Mrs. W. C. Tupling thanked
Mrs. S. DeVree for piano num-
bers and Mrs. D. Lankin and Mrs.
R. Worthington for coffee break,
The group continued its
discussion on evangelism. Buzz
groups met to talk over effective
worship, and community and
church work.
Groups will meet again March
17 and 31 omitting March 24.
