CHRISTMAS TREE
By LYNN EME RY
Biddulph Central
I am a tree tall and strong
My branches are full of birds of
song
I hear the woodcutters coming
along
Soon their axes will fall
Down I will fall with a crunch and
crack
My heavens they broke my back
Now I'm in a lot with children
about
Home I go with them dragging me
on
Here I am at last all shiny and
warm
They put bells on my arms with
garlands galore
Soon the children will come and
shout with joy
Come everyone and see Christmas
is here, oh boy!
