What does Christmas mean to
you?
I know of a lot of children that
think of presents, or the turkey
dinner or thinking of all the
candy you'll get.
But, is that really the true
meaning of Christmas? No, I
"'think there's more than just that.
Maybe some children like
Christmas because they get to put
up the decoration 'or the
Christmas tree or maybe even just
the thought of Christmas sounds
good to them.
When I think of Christmas I
think of all these things but I also
try to put in a little time, even
though it may not be long to
remember the Birthdate of Jesus.
To some people this birth was
an ordinary one, even though it
happened in an old stable, but
beleive me it wasn't. This birth
was a very special one. And I hope
the story of Christmas never dies
away. What does Christmas mean
to you?
By PAT DE JONGE,
Usborne Central
'Twas the night before
Christmas and all through the
house not a witch was stirring not
even a vulture. The socks were
hanging with monsters all around
in hopes that Dracula would be
coming.
The Dragon was asleep, the
Bear was beside him cuddly and
cosy. Then, suddenly, with a
roaring noise it was Dracula with
his one reindeer Frankenstein.
Dracula was* riding on the
shoulders. Dracula was sayineCp
to the house you old blockhead
queer nut. Didn't you know we
have got another 5,000 homes, to
go?"
"Yes," said Frankenstein. So
the first stop was our place. And
do you know what he gave us?
He gave us a pint of blood and
ten dead people, just what we
wanted. And that was the
happiest Christmas I ever had.

welcoming this Christmas Day.
Tell me, do you have to have
gifts to celebrate Christmas? The
Wisemen started all this gift
giving. So maybe they 'were
important people, but Couldn't
you celebrate Christmas without
gifts,
Christmas has become so
commercial that you spend at
least one hundred or fifty dollars
at least on gifts and foOd,"Why is
it?" I ask -'myself, Think about
that one.
Really when it comes right
down to the point the only reason
is because your friends do it If
you didn't do it you would be
considered poor. Right?
Try not buying 'gifts, try not.
