peak of the great depression:Say
it isn't so, Pierre.
And speaking of the baby
bonus. I wish I were young again.
Babies used to be Worth $8 a
month. Now they're worth $16.
Taxable. But it's also worth
almost two cases of beer a month,
per child. This is going to mean a
great deal to the families who
always put the baby bonus aside
as beer money. Six kids, twelve
cases.
However, it is the time of year
to wish everybody joy, and I do
so. Including all those poor devils
who make $10,000 a year (and
take home $7,300.) They can't
buy a house. They can't send
their kids to college because the
kids can't get a loan because their
parents are making so much
money.

Dennis Fleischeuer stop 29 Lucan
shots while Stu Mustard scored
twice for the visitors with Wayne
Arthur and Derwin Carter adding
the other two goals.
Once again the Trish had
trouble staying out of the penalty
box, getting five majors and 11
minors while the Colts were
assessed one major and only 8
minors. Clinton outshot Lucan
35 to 29.
Friday night, the Irish blasted
their way to a 5-3 victory with
Joe Arnold in the nets. Lucan
dressed only 11 players for this
game and the spectators saw
veterans Tom Hodgins, Jim Hearn
and Mike Anderson play their
best game of the season.
In the first period the teams
traded goals with Ken Needham
scoring for the Irish and Stu
Mustard for the Colts. In the
second period Tom Hodgins was
the one Irish marksman, while
Gary Cummings and Bill Stirling
scored for the home team.
The third period was all Lucan
with Dave Revington and Jim
Hearn each scoring once and
Bruce Haskett, the new face in
the lineup closing out the
scoring.
