from Holy Trinity Church, Don

Keith Kraul met with 40 other
laymen and ten clergy of the
Anglican and United Churches at
the United Church in Ailsa
Craig.

Lucan Women's Institute held
their regular meeting last
Thursday at the home of Mrs.
John Park, with the president,
Mrs. Frances Seward, in the
chair.
It was reported that the
Sunshine Club was progressing
very satisfactorily, with an
average attendance of 26. That
afternoon the ladies of the
Catholic Women's League were
providing lunch and
entertainment. Five other
organizations have volunteered
to help at meetings in this way.
It was agreed to change the
day of the W.I. meetings to
Wednesday, owing to the
confliction of the Sunshine Club
meetings. This will not apply
until January and will be
reviewed in March.
Mrs. Ron Crozier, convener of
citizenship and education made
comments on the motto, Lest
We Forget, and a period of
silence was observed. Mrs.
Revington and Mrs. Frank Hardy
Sr. gave readings and Mrs.
Crozier conducted a quiz on
Prime Minister Pierre Elliott
Trudeau. She also presented an
aricle on, Effective Listening,
and Mrs. Hardy gave a profile on
Mrs. Mary Patterson.
Mrs. Harold Snelgrove asked
as many as possible to attend
4-H Achievement Day for the
course on, Accessories for the
Bedroom to be held at Parkhill
High School, December 12.
The December meeting will be
in the form of a pot-luck supper.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Park and Mrs. Glen Haskett.
of Ansa Craig opened with
prayer and welcomed those
present.
Wyn Pearson of Strathroy
outlined the work of the
committee of ten of Middlesex
County Deanery and Presbytery.
Mr. Carson spoke on the reason
for church union and what the
Church stands for.
The meeting was then divided
into six groups for discussion of
church union. From these
groups arose certain questions
which were presented to the
whole session for discussion.

Mr. & Mrs. Eric Hodgins of R.R.

School meets at 9:45 a.m.;

Morning Prayer is at 11:00 a.m.
and the League of Loyalty meets
after the second hymn.
The annual bazaar, bake sale
and tea will be held November
27 at 7:30 p.m. The last
Confirmation class will be held
Tuesday. The Confirmation will
be held December 6, at 7 p.m.
The newly installed 7th
Bishop of Huron will confirm
the class of candidates. The
Bishop of Huron Rt. Rev.
Carman J. Queen will be
enthroned at St. Paul's Cathedral
November 30, at 7:00 p.m.
Choir practice is Thursday at
7;00 p.m. for juniors and 8:00
p.m. for seniors. The Cub Pack
meets Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
in Carlisle Hall.
Mrs. Smith was relating her
grievances over the garden fence.
"My husband is such a flirt,"
she complained, "I just can't trust
him anywhere."
"Never mind, my dear," her
friend consoled her. "He's
probably only reverting to type."
"That's where you're wrong,"
said Mrs. Smith grimly. "He's
reverting to typists."
