ROSS SKINNER MONTREAL — Women's high fashion suits with luxury-look fake fur and synthetic leather, eye-catching diamond patterns and colorful bold stripes, are an important part of the apparel "in look" for the snowmo biting, skiing, outdoor-fun crowd this winter. But the fashion suits demand particular attention. The all-new winter apparel concepts for women include a suit of leather-look Vistram synthetic, with fake fur high-lighting the suit top ... a harlequin-style suit with diamond-patterned top . .. and colorful toy-soldier outfit with bold diagonal stripes from shoulder to waist. The chic Vistram-fur combination offers white fur top with gold, navy, brown, red, or black Vistram bottom for a two-piece look. Style features include mandarin neck, dome closing, and bell bottoms with decorative metal snaps. The Vistram leather-look was introduced to the winter outdoor scene last year with success and again is offering fashion suits entirely of Vistram, without fur tops. Tan and green are additional color choices in the all-Vistram suits. The other two high-fashion suits have waterproof oxford weave nylon outershells. The harlequin creation is available in yellow, hi-blue, and regal purple, with diamond patterns in two contrasting colors. These suits have tapered legs for an extra-slim look. The toy soldier suit is styled in purple, yellow, whiskey, and hi-blue with bold diagonal accent stripes in contrasting colors. Toy soldier outfits also are available in pants and jacket combinations. The fashion suits combine sophisticated styling with the warmth and convenience including orlon fleece lining, self cuffs with stretch knit inserts, and two-way zippers for easy on-off. Male snowmobilers have been included in the colorful winter fashion explosion with a one-piece suit which creates a two-piece effect because of its contrasting top and black bottom. The suit has black and white accent stripes and a distinctive crest on the breast pocket. The Blizzard apparel series also includes jacket and pants, a cape that is ideal for winter spectator use, and matching black and white striped racing-style boots. For the "Weitein look," there is a unique fringed cowboy-styled suit. Available for men, women, and children who like to ride the range on ,snowmobiles, the suit can be co-ordinated with hat, snowmobile boots, and gauntlet mitts, all bearing styling reminiscent of the Wild West. For the "plain fun" snowmobile look, the traditional one-color, one-piece nylon snowmobile suit, which has proven itself over the years for warmth and comfort, blossoms forth in a variety of bright new colors ranging from whiskey to regal purple. This popular snowmobile apparel also is , available in jackets and pants. For the 11"NT (Trach`N Trail) "rally look," there are suits, jackets, and pants with rally stripings. And for men, there s another new snowmobile idea — a chalet or car coat with snowmobile suit design features. In all of these new winter fashions for this year, the key-note for the first time is accessory co-ordination, exciting color, and dramatic style. Weekend visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Allen Johns were Marilyn Johns of Chatham, Mr. & Mrs. Ross Rowe and Laura Lee of Simcoe. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Pym and family visited Sunday with Bert Lobb of Clinton.
