It seems you left us yesterday, The wound is still so sore, For, every day of every year, We seem to miss you more. It is not the tears that are shed at the time, That tells of the hearts that are broken, It is the lonesome tears in the after years, When a loved one's name is spoken. You asked for so little in life, And suffered more than your share, Your life was devoted to others, With your. love, guidance and prayer. The years we had together, Will be sweet memories our lives through, With heartfelt pride, we'll remember, Being blessed with a Dad like you. — Loved and remembered by son Wayne and daughter-in-law Shirley, 19* WEIBERG — In loving memory of a dear wife, mother and grandmother Flossie Melinda Weiberg who passed away nine years ago November 23. Her memory is our keepsake With which we'll never part; God has her in his keeping, We have her in our hearts. — Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by the family. 19* WILLERT — In loving memory of our dear mother and grandmother Mrs. Arthur IVlargaret) Willert who left us 4 years ago November 25, 1956. Still in our memory there is a place Where dwells the image of her sweet face; Her smile and cheery greeting of hello And other things that we remembered so; Her visits to the sick, and word of cheer, A little gift that brought a smile or tear; And while she would not have us grieve and fret, While life remains we never can forget; And when God calls us to that other land We fancy she will be there close at hand To smile upon us with her eyes aglow And say her cheery greeting of hello. — Lovingly. remembered and sadly missed by her family. 29* Arena Activities THURS., NOV. 19 3-4 Girls Hockey 4:30.6 Bantams 6-7 Novice 8.11 Rec League FRI., NOV. 20 3-4 Mothers & Tots 4-5 Skating 7-8 St. Marys vs. Exeter Mites 8:30 Hensall Co-Ops vs. Jr. Hawks SAT., NOV. 21 9-5 Minor Hockey 8.10 Public Skating SUN., NOV. 22 8.11:30 London 12-1:30 Juveniles 2:00 Lambeth vs. Jr. Hawks 7-11 Ausable Hockey League MON., NOV. 23 4:30.9 Figure Skating 9:15 Rec League TUES., NOV. 24 4:30-8:30 Figure Skating 8:30 Hockey Practice WED., NOV. 25 3.4 Mothers & Tots 4-5 skating 7-10 Minor Hockey Area piper enjoys trip Youngest piper at tatoo CARDS OF THANKS IN MEMORIAM, Eight years of continuous musical training paid off this summer fora 17;year-old Hensall youth. Wallace, Main St., Exeter, announce the birth of a daughter Lisa Dorothy Colleen,November 16, 1970, at South Huron Hospital, 7 lbs., 10 oz., a sister for Johnny and Darlene. Asked of differences he noticed in Scottish customs as compared to Canada, Tom said, "what I found unusual was watching TV shows without commercials, cars driving on the opposite side of the street, and pedestrians continually walking against red lights. To the question of styles of young people, he replied, "Most youngters have long hair. This was especially so in Edinburgh Where it was common to see.three and four year-olds with extremely long hair." About Scottish food Tom had this to say, "They feature pastries with meat like meat pies and sausage rolls. I ate lots of french fries. Pepsi in a small bottle was 25 cents, so I drank lots of tea, after five weeks of tea, "wh000." The Canadian band of which Tom is a member performed four times a week for three weeks with an audience of 16,000 in attendance at each performance. On several occasions it was almost impossible for the band to play with gales of 70 miles per hour prevailing. "The wind blew the pipes off our shoulders and made drum beating virtually impossible," added Tom. The Scottish weather was cool and cloudy with the temperature only rising to about 70 on the hottest day, The band left Trenton on August 9 and returned on September 13. C.P. & T.
