Branch 540's attendance at the Annual Remembrance Church Parade, this year to St. Patrick's R.C. t Church, is ample proof the sacrifice of so many in the cause of freedom is indeed REMEMBERED. About 40 per cent of our membership was on parade. Thanks also to our non-veteran friends who also took time to REMEMBER and attended the wreath laying ceremony at the Lucan Cenotaph following their church service. If all communities report attendance like Lucan we will all be able to rejoice that in truth "AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE • MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER,. THEM." Our grateful thanks to Father McGraw for his kindness in offering his Church facilities for our service and for his attendance at the Cenotaph services, The comrades of Branch 540 to gratefully acknowledge all those who supported our Poppy Campaign with the purchase of poppies and wreaths.
