Bullock, R.R. 3, Parkhill, was married to James Eben Weigand, son of Mr. & Mrs. Eben Weigand, R.R. 1, Dashwood, at Greenway United Church, recently. Rev. H.A. Dobson performed the rites in a setting of baskets of yellow and white mums and gladioli, while Miss Evelyn Curts' evia - Note, Zion West United Church, decorated with candelabra and arrangements of mixed flowers, was the setting for the marriage of played traditional wedding music on the organ. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a semi-fitted, A-line lace gown with long sleeves. Her shoulder length veil was held by a headdress of roses and pearls. She carried a purple orchid encircled with white mums. The bride's sister, Betty Bullock, was maid of honor, while another sister, Mrs. Marion Leyten, and the groom's sister, Norma Weigand, were bridesmaids. They all chose A-line dresses of deep purple velvet with white fur trim and carried bouquets of yellow and white mums. Robert Miller, was best man and brothers of the bride and groom, Barry Bullock and Don Weigand were ushers. After a wedding reception in. the church parlours the bride changed to a lime green crepe dress with white braid trim. Mr. & Mrs. Weigand now reside at R.R.1, Dashwood. Prior to her marriage the bride was honored at showers by Norma Weigand and Mrs. Jean Weigand at the home of Mrs. Eben' ..Weigand; and at the Anglican Church hall by Mrs. Jacob Lagerwerf, Mrs. Bill Bullock, and Mrs. Fred Bullock. flowers. The groomsman was Larry Lynn, and the ushers were Clifton Webber, Dan Walters, and Rob Morley. The wedding reception was held at the Exeter Legion Hall, after which the newly-weds left for a honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, the bride wearing a smart powder blue and gray ensemble with navy accessories. They are now residing at 322 Andrew St., Exeter. Mrs. William Morley The U.C.W. Executive of the Huron Perth Presbyterial met at the Egmondyille united .0bnrch November 4, when Dr. Ross Crosby of St. Mary's United Church was the guest speaker. His theme was Christian Education which he said is the business of every Christian. The bride chose a gown of crushed velvet with which she wore a shoulder length veil of nylon tulle. She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple violets. The maid of honor, Brenda Curry, and bridesmaids Shelly Jones, Mrs. Sally Forgeron and Mickey Hyra wore purple velvet gowns with velvet violets in their hair and bouquets of white mums with purple ribbons. Constable Ray Michalko, Thompson Manitoba, was best man. The ushers were Constables Jim Cockburn, Ron Forgeron and Indulis Baltkalns. The newly weds honeymooned in Ontario. Constable and Mrs. Knight are now residing at The Pas, Manitoba. Donald is a grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Knight, Sanders Street, Exeter. Members make own program The WMC of Exeter Pentecostal Church met at the home of Mrs. Elmer Desjardine with the members answering the roll call with a scripture verse containing the word, Thanksgiving. The president, Mrs. Keith McLaren, conducted the meeting and Mrs. S. Triebner and Mrs. F. Rhude led the devotions. The program consisted of each member taking part. Several poems were read; Mrs. Elmer Desjardine played a piano entertained at a trouseau tea in honor of her daughter before the wedding, and many friends feted her at showers given by: Mrs. Sharon Lynn, Mrs. Margaret Skinner; Norma Shantz; Mrs. Mary French; Mrs. Howard Pym and Mrs. Sam Skinner at the El i mv ille Hall; Whalen community at the Community Centre, and the ladies of Zion West United Church. truth is plural... no one has all the answers. Dr, Crosby likened the Church and Sunday School to a football huddle, a place where signals and rules are learned, and then you go out into the world to live'by these same rules every day of the week, The Presbyterial annual meeting will be held in February 1971, at Mitchell United Church, The guest speaker will be Mrs. Eggelson, Woodstock. The annual meeting of the London Conference U.C.W. will be held March 15 -16 -17,1971 at the Dundas Centre United Church, London, the theme is to be 'Listen — The World Calls. Dr. Roy Webster of the board of World Mission will speak to an open meeting. Huron -- Perth Presbyterial has one new missionary, Miss Joan Rader R.N., Zurich. Mrs. Harold Babensee conducted the worship service. New study for UCW outlined Mrs. F. A. Roulston intro- duced the new study book, The Americas, to Unit I, Exeter United Church Women, Thursday afternoon. She outlined many of the social problems which grip both South and North America and the need for this study. The program was in charge of Mrs. Elva Coates, and devotions were taken by Mrs. Frank Taylor. A quartette consisting of Mrs. Elva Coates, Mrs. Whitney Coates, Mrs. Art Frayne and Mrs. Frank Taylor was enjoyed. Reverend Robert Wilson officiated and Mrs. Margaret Hern performed the wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Marlene Rader. The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a becoming gown of sparkling peau in A-line style and trimmed with appliqued daisies and seed pearls. A chapel train flowed gracefully from the back and a shoulder length veil of nylon illusion fell from a Juliet cap, appliqued with petals and seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was a mauve-lipped orchid, carnations, stephanotis and ivy. The attendants were Mrs. Carol Betteridge, matron of honor, Mrs. Sharon Lynn, Mrs. Margaret Skinner and Norma Shantz, bridesmaids. They were dressed in lilac georgette and deep purple velvet A-line dresses, trimmed with lace, and carried nosegays of mixed purple, mauve and white fall flowers. Flower girl and ringbearer were Lori Strong, niece of the selection, Mrs. Garfield groom, and Scott Morgan,4a '.Thompson gave an inspirational nephew of the groom. The former talk on Thanksgiving, and Mrs. wore a purple velvet dress styled Smith sang a solo. similarily to the other attendants A season of prayer was held, and she carried a basket of mixed and the hostess was assisted by Mrs. P. Bodaly, Mrs. Beulah Desjardine and Mrs. E. Bestard. Mrs. D.
