Winners for the best dressed couple were Ramon Meidinger and Mrs. Clare Masse; best comic couple, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Boyle; most appropriately dressed for the occasion, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Ford. A smorgasbord lunch followed. SUPPER MEETING The Men's Club of Dashwood held a supper meeting October 26 in the Community Centre. Officers elected were: president, Joe Dietrich; vice-presidents, Hubert Miller, Arnold McCann and Victor Hartman; secretary-treasurer, Donald Rader. L.W.M.L. MEETING The regular and annual meeting of the L.W.M.L. was held October 28 in Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. E. E. Steinman took as his topic, Boot Training for World Missionaries. A new president and vice-president were elected: Mrs. Albert Miller and Mrs.. Wilfred Becker. An invitation to attend a Christian growth work shop at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Stratford was read. The mite-box collection was $28.54. Miner of Thames Road Church, who brought a helpful message, using as her topic, The Road of Life. In the absence of the minister Rev, W. Jarvis, the service was conducted by Gerald Carey who was assisted in the devotions by Mrs. Mervin Dow and Mrs. Carter Kerslake. CONGREGATIONAL SUPPER. Friday evening the annual congregational pot-luck supper was held in the Cromarty Church with several families present. After a delicious meal had been enjoyed a social time was spent. The November meeting of the W.M.S. will be held at the home of Mrs. E. Moore, Thursday.
