To be sure that your house
plants are never without water
when you're away on a trip and
if you can't always depend on
your neighbor — a smart trick is
to run a wick, or heavy yarn, from
a container of water onto the soil
of the pot plant.,
Wrap packages with wet string.
When it dries, shrinkage tightens
the cord.
