RECEIVES SERVICE AWARD — Chief Warrant Officer H. Walsh is
shown receiving The Second Clasp to the Canadian Forces
Decoration from Major F. A. Golding, Base Commander, (TB
Clinton, Ont. The occasion was of special significance to CWO
Walsh, as it marked his last day of service. CWO Walsh enlisted in the
Royal Canadian Air Force in August 1938. He presently resides with
his wife and family in Huron Park, Ont. The Second Clasp to the
Canadian Forces Decoration is awarded on completion of 32 years
of military service.

Rev. Susan Seymour,
Granton, was guest speaker,
Sunday, at Clandeboye United
Church. Her sermon topic was the
Image of God.
She said all persons are made
in God's image and are creative.
Teachers, doctors, mothers,
students and even pre-schoolers
all have special talents in
creativity.
Intelligence is another quality
protrayed and with this ability
people made in God's image are
able to bring order out of chaos,
"most important of all is
capability to love and be loved,"
concluded Rev. Seymour.
Saturday afternoon at the
United Church Rev. W. C.
Tupling presided for the opening
of the bazaar. The Bake sale
included many delectable items.
Tea was served at tables.

The Senior citizens of the
community gathered together for
entertainment in the Sunday
School room of the U.C. Tuesday
afternoon, Activities were
sponsored by the U.C,W. Sing
songs led by Mrs. Ross Love were
enjoyed and Wm, Love played a
violin selection from a violin he
had made himself. Mrs. Mansel
Mason and Mrs. Emery
Desjardine sang a duet, Mr. Ezra
Webb, Mr. Art Finkbeiner, Mr.
Wm. Love, Mr, Emery Desjardine
formed a quartette.
Mrs. Wm. Blewett gave a
reading and Wm. Love also read
an interesting poem. Games were
available for the Senior Citizens
to play and lunch was served.
ANNIVERSARY
Anniversary Services will be
celebrated in G.B.United Church
Sunday. Rev. A. E. Holley of
Kitchener will be guest speaker in
the morning and Ken Flear of
London will be guest soloist,
Rev. G. E. Elliott Lambeth,
will be guest speaker in the
evening and the Huronia Male
Chorus will provide the music.
