WHAT A DIFFERENCE - Fifteen miles
makes quite a difference especially when
your footwear is of the large economy
size. Ivan Luther of Grand Bend found
this out when he walked part of the way
in Saturday's walkathon with a large pit
of Gulf shoes. At the right at the start of
the walk his shoes are being tied by
daughter Tracey while above he finds the
welcome to Grand Bend sign more than

The October meeting of the
Elimville Women's Institute was
held Wednesday evening with
Mrs. Ivan Brock in the chair. The
Opening Ode and Mary Stewart
Collect was followed by roll call
answered with a Personal
Contribution to Citizenship by a
Woman.
The program, Citizenship and
Education, was convened by Mrs.
Wm, Routly and Mrs. Jackson
Woods,
Kenneth Sinclair of London, a
grandson of Mrs. Woods, was
guest speaker. He showed
pictures of Japan and Expo 1970
where he visited for 14 days.
The motto, "Education is not
merely the road to earning a
living, but is that which makes
living worthwhile," was given by
Mrs. Howard Pym.
Mrs. Eric Clayburn favoured
with a solo. During the business, a
donation was made to the Mental
Health Association. An invitation
to Hurondale's Hard Time
meeting was accepted.
The report of Huronview was
given by Mrs. Allen Johns, the
bazaar being held November 4.
The bus trip committee have
plans made to go to the Royal
Winter Fair November 14.
Mrs. Philip Hem gave a report
of the Rally held at the Centralia
College.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Elson Lynn and her committee.
