Mr. & Mrs. Ken McCrae and
Mrs. Louella Tiernan returned
home from an 18 day visit to
England and Scotland; Harry
Hoffman, who went on a later
flight returned home Tuesday.
In an interview, Mrs. Tieman
said the only words she could
think of to describe the trip
were "Out of this world." She
visited in England with Miss
Donna Merner and Miss
Elizabeth Bartliff and many
interesting places in England and
Scotland.
Mr. & Mrs. Ken McCrae
expressed much the same views.
Ken saw many changes since he
served in the Canadian Army 25
years ago. They went on a 12
day conducted tour of England,
Wales, and Scotland. While in
Scotland theymissed worshipping
in Crathie Church with the

Kellerman led in prayer and Mrs.
Mervyn Tiernan read an
appropriate Thanksgiving story.
Guests from Grand Bend,
Mrs. Jack Eagleson and Mrs.
Wm. Brenner, gave a summary of
their experiences while attending
Alma College school. The theme
was Man's Dilemma and God's
Plan. Mrs. Brenner accompanied
by Mrs. Clark Kennedy led in a
sing song of selections learned at
the school.
President, Mrs. Don Gaiser
conducted the business.
Donations were made to Care,
C.N.I.B., Children's Aid,Crippled
Children's Treatment Centre,
War Memorial Hospital, and the
Leprosy Mission. A clothing
drive for good used clothes is to
be held until November 10 at
which time they will be sent to
the Rescue Mission.

Kari Lee, infant daughter of
Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Martene was
baptized in Zion Lutheran
Church, October 18, by Rev. E.
E. Steinman. Sponsors were Mr.

by former Maple Leaf

Mrs. Harry Hoffman attended
the Ontario ambulance
Association meeting at the Sky
Line Hotel, Toronto, last
Monday and Tuesday.

supper for members and their
husbands or friends was held
October 14 with group III and
Mrs, Albert Miller, convener, in
charge of the supper and
program.

Mrs. Hoffman was spokesman
for Harry. •She said he was
having a wonderful time. He
visited Ireland, where his wife's
ancestors, the Boltons, had come
from and were among the first
settlers of Usborne Township.
While in a small village,
Wexworth, he was able to visit
with relatives of his wife.
