Lunch was served by Group 3 ladies. The Sunday School decorated Brinsley United Church for Thanksgiving service last Sunday when the Junior Choir sang anthems for the special event. The ushers were Jim Robinson and Bill Amos. The seventh meeting of the Clinton Health Seekers was held at the home of Mrs. Edison McLean, October 6. Notes were taken oh Safety in the home. Pictures of traffic signs were shown and learned by each member. Morley wife of David Morley passed away in Victoria Hospital October 8, 1970. Born near Granton in the year 1906 she taught school at Brinsley Public School for nine years, and was active in church work at Brinsley United Church prior to moving to Strathroy from the 12 Concession of McGillivray Township five years ago. In failing health for the past year death came suddenly as the result of a fall at her home. Surviving are her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Ida McRoberts and Mrs. Edna McRoberts of RR 1, Lucan. Funeral services were held October 10 from the Denning Bros, Funeral Home Strathroy, with Rev. Duncan McTavish of London former minister at Brinsley United Church, officiating, Interment was in Mar's Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill and Harvey Morley, Kelly Robinson, Ross McRoberts, Orville Langford and Roy O'Neil. it * UCW Mrs. H. B. Johnson was hostess for the Brinsley U,C,W, held at the manse in Ailsa Craig. Mrs. Marjorie Steeper opened the meeting with a thanksgiving devotional which was followed by prayer by Mrs, Dyck. Mrs, Steeper gave two readings and a poem and Mrs. Dyck presented a paper, Rawest !tome at the Corners. Mrs, Williaatt Fenton took charge of the business.
