TWO OF SATURDAY'S ENTRIES — One of the two race events at Saturday's harness racing at the Exeter Fall Fair will feature a pair of horses that are training at the local track, They are shown above in a recent workout. Race secretary Jim Wallace announced Monday morning that both classes were completely filled and he had several other owners that wanted to race at the Fair. Each race will go in two heats of a mile each. Following are the complete list of horses, owners and drivers. T-A photo Visitors to this year's Exeter Fair will again have opportunity to bolster their meat supplies for a very small initial outlay. This year, the annual draw sponsored by the Fair Board will be offering five prizes to the first tickets to be drawn at the dance, Saturday night. The first ticket drawn will entitle the holder to a hind quarter of beef donated by Exeter District Co-Op. The second prize is one-half of a dressed pork through the courtesy of Cann's Mill Limited. A dressed lamb from the farm of Fair president Donald Dearing goes to the third ticket drawn and fourth prize is a dressed turkey donated by Stan Frayne. A fifth prize has been added this year and this will be a dressed rabbit donated by William Dickey, Woodham. Members of the fair executive will be selling tickets in the arena, By MRS. Ross Duffield who has been a patient at Memorial Hospital, St, Marys, for a few weeks returned to his home Thursday. Granton WI met at the home of Mrs. Hamilton Hodgins, Tuesday evening. Mr. & Mrs. Munroe Morelle, Lake City, Florida, visited for a few days last week with Mr. & Mrs. Norman Hodgins. Hubert Mills, Spalding, Saskatchewan, visited with Mr. & Mrs. McLeod Mills during last week. Mr. & Mrs. Clare Bryan and Alice, Granton, Mr. & Mrs. Larry Kilpatrick and family, London, attended St. Thomas Anglican Church anniversary service at Granton and were also dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Norman Hodgins.
