Each month, we have a girl who types out notices that the subscriptions of certain subscribers are now due. ' THAT COSTS US MONEY. We have to provide envelopes and stamps and take them to the post office. THAT COSTS MONEY. Many people fail to renew upon the first notice and we have to repeat the whole procedure. THAT COSTS MORE MONEY. On the average, it costs us 50 cents per subscriber to get renewals, HERE'S OUR PLAN: Rather than send out renewal notices, we hope to entice you into renewing on your own by providing a cash prize of $25. If your subscription is due in October, you can be eligible by renewing before September 15. The names of all those renewing prior to that date will be put in a hat. The one drawn out will be richer by $25. Yes, that will cost us money too, but not quite as much as sending out renewal forms. We'll give it a try for one month. If it works out, we'll repeat it. However, subscribers whose renewal falls due after October can be eligible for the prize by renewing prior to September 15. Your T-A Label AND WHAT IT SAYS This is the month when your sub- scription comes due. Expiry date is the first of this month. Here's how you know when your subscription is due The last digit shown indicates the year (in this case, Oct. 1070) to which your subscription is paid. When this Subscription is renewed, the "0" will disappear and "1" (1071) will be the last digit showing, The other numbers retrain to serve in future years, 18 Times-Advocate, September 3, 1970 Whalen girl back from holiday in Europe Dashwood friends honor bride elect at parties.
