The bridal bouquet was of mauve baby's breath and white rosebuds. Mary Margaret MacDonald, London, as bridal attendant; was gowned in a deep mauve dotted Swiss dress styled similarity to the bride's. Her headpiece was a royal purple satin bow with floor length streamers. Alan Noon was best man for his brother and Fred Woodley, London, and Bob Engel, Niagara Falls, ushered the guests. After a reception at the Parish Hall the newlyweds left for a trip to the eastern United States, the bride wearing a purple, sleeveless A-line dress with a pink and purple stole. Mr. & Mrs. Noon will reside in London. Before her wedding the bride was feted by the staff of Westdale Public School; other friends in London; and relatives and friends in Grand Bend. PERSONALS Grand Bend will be well represented in the annual Lucknow Fall Fair Beauty Contest this September, since two girls, Jean Jennison and Patti Glenn are entrants. Week end visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Robert Keyes were Mr. & Mrs. Reid McNaughton of London, Mr. & Mrs. George Keyes and Mrs. Henrietta Keyes of Toronto, Mrs. Anne Anderson of Oakville, Mr. Pat Keyes from Alabama, and Mr. Charles Keyes of Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Brant MacGregor of Belleville and Mr. & Mrs. Bob Elliott of Toronto visited with Mrs. Myrtle MacGregor last week. Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Lee have returned home, after accompanying their son and wife, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Lee, on a trip north to Sudbury. Guests of Mrs. L. A. Bariteau during the past week were Mr. & Mrs. Robert Joseph of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Mr. & Mrs. Vincent Roy and daughter Iris from Oakville, Ontario. Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Pfile spent the past weekend in Bad Axe, Michigan, attending Mrs. Pfile's family reunion. John Lovie returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital last Thursday, but because of severe pain and discomfort he returned to the hospital on Sunday. Rev. & Mrs. Dobson returned home last week from a very pleasant vacation. Wm. Jennison, Sr., has just returned from a visit with his daughter in Rainy River, Ontario, and relatives in Winnipeg. Joann DesJardine is holidaying in Europe. Mr. & Mrs. Jack Keyes and Jeff were holidaying last week in Grand Bend. Cassie Ann DesJardine, Linda Miller and Mary Lynne Kennedy were in London last week trying their R. N. exams at U. W. 0. Mr. & Mrs. W. B. F. MacLaren are in St. Marys for the next two weeks where he is relieving the druggist. Visitors this week with Mr. & Mrs. Roy Flear are Mrs. Hector Flear of Hamilton and Mrs. Isabelle Reynolds of Toronto. Guest speaker at the United Church Open Air Service was the Rev. Mervyn Love of Leamington, and the guest soloist was Mrs. T. J. Laird of Thedford. Dick and Dan Love of Sarnia visited last week with their grandparents, Mr. & Mrs, Colin Love. Holly and Stuart Love of Toronto, visited last week with Mr. & Mrs. Jim Love. Mr. & Mrs. G. Tomlinson formerly of Hamilton, and new residents of Grand Bend since January, having bought the residence of Mrs. Graham, are visiting this week in Hamilton with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Milt, Hart, Who are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary, After attending the celebration they plan to visit friends in Seeley Bay. Mrs. Newton C. MacGregor of the West attended the funeral of her mother, Mrs. 1, C. Goodhand in Parkhill, and also visited her ill other-in-law, Mrs. Myrtle MacGregor. Mr. & Mrs. David Wheeler were guests at the Laidlaw-Moss wedding in Welburn United Church Saturday and the reception that followed. Michael Webb has been visiting for several days with Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Crago and family of Pembroke. Mr. & Mrs. John Rodd, Pamela and Calvin have returned from a their home in San Bernardino, California, following a two week's visit with grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Russell Schroeder and with other relatives in Grand Bend and London. They made the trip by plane to Detroit where they were met by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hewitt and they returned to Detroit with Mr. and Mrs. 13. Webb of Grand Bend. PERSONALS Misses Amy and Greta Lammie, Hensall, spent last week with brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Ray Lammie. Mrs, G. F. Penwarden of Sarnia was a guest at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Ray Laramie, Wednesday and called on other friends in the village. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Maguire and boys of Scotland, and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Mugford and family of Lucan were Friday visitors with the ladies' father, Murray Abbott and enjoyed the turkey dinner which Mrs. Maguire had prepared and brought with her. The UCW will be held on Thursday evening. The meeting will begin at 7 o'clock instead of the usual time. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bowden accompanied Mr. & Mrs. Ray holiday in Northern Ontario where they visited with their cousins, Mr. & Mrs. Greg Fowler and family for a few days in Moosonee.
