Distric# couples wed in summertime ceremonies
Waimea "Pecanqa
Bethel. Reformed church,
decked with gladioli and yellow
and white mums, was the setting
for the pretty wedding of Nellie
Van Duyn, daughter of Mr. &
Mrs. Van Duyn, Exeter, and.
Kenneth John Horrell, son of Mr.
& Mrs. Charles S. Hornell, Exeter,
July 18, 1970.
Rev. Harmen Heeg performed
the ceremony and Mrs. R. Van
Steeg provided the traditional
wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was elegant in a
floor length skimmer line
wedding gown of French silk
organza. The high neckline and
the cuffs of the full sheer sleeves
were accented by Swiss guipure
lace. The lace was woven with
soft blue ribbon. The cathedral
length illusion veil was caught up
by a bow of organza and Swiss
lace with blue ribbon. The bride
carried yellow and white daisies.
The maid of honor, Connie
Van Duyn, wore a yellow empire
style dress with puffed sleeves,
and the bridesmaids, Mary Ellen
Horrell and Mrs. Ann Oke, wore
similar dresses in blue. The three
attendants carried blue, yellow
and white flowers.
Arthur Horrell, Exeter, was
best man while Robert Oke and
Randy Witte were the ushers.
The wedding reception was
held at the Dufferin Hotel,
Centralia, after which the bride
donned a smart rose pant suit to
travel to Northern Ontario with
her husband. Mr. & Mrs. Horrell

Pamela Victoria Ersman was
united in marriage to John Gerard
Joseph Beaumier before a pretty
setting of pink and white flowers
and candelabra in Caven
Presbyterian Church, August 1,
1970, with Rev. W. D. Jarvis
conducting the ceremony.
The parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford J. Ersman,
Exeter and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Beaumier, London.
While Robert McIntosh played
traditional wedding music at the
organ console the bride was
escorted down the aisle by her
father.
She was gowned in a
full-length dress of peau de soie,
which featured a stand-up collar
encircled with daisies, long
sleeves, and an A-line appliqued
skirt. A Cathedral train fell from
the back of the empire waistline
and a shoulder length four-tiered
veil was held by a pearl and
crystal headpiece. She carried a
lace covered Bible with pink roses
and stephanotis and pink
streamers.
Mrs. William Perry, Exeter,
sister of the bride, chose a
floor-length, shocking pink gown
with embroidered neckline,
empire waist, and short puffed
sleeves. Her bouquet was a
nosegay of daisies, pink and red
roses with pink tulle and
streamers.
Paul Beaumier, London, was
best man for his brother and
Roger Beaumier, London, and
William Perry, Exeter, acted as
ushers.
After the ceremony the
wedding guests were entertained
at a reception at the Exeter
Legion Hall.
Before leaving on a trip to
northern Ontario the bride
donned an off white coat and
dress ensemble with cannel
colored accessories.
The happy couple will reside
at 970 Cheapside St., London,
where Mrs. Beaumier is employed
by Household Finance and Mr.
Beaumier is with Canadian Pools
Limited.
HONORED AT SHOWERS
Prior to the wedding the
bride-elect was feted at showers
given in her honor by Mrs. J.
Osadga, London and Mrs. N.

friends and neighbors at the home
of her parents.

portrait neckline, lily point
sleeves and A-line skirt. The
sweeping chapel length train and
shoulder veil, held by a satin lilac
accentuated with pearl like buds,
completed her ensemble. She
carried a cascade of red
carnations.
Mrs. Bob Doerr, Ailsa Craig,

sister, and Mrs. Brenda Affleck,
sister of the groom and Joan
