The marriage of Mabel. Anne
Fairbairn and Dr. Stephen Blair
Moore was solemnized, June 20,
1970, in Exeter United Church
which was decorated with pink
tapers, ferns and white daisies,
with Rev. Glen D. Wright
officiating.
Robert Cameron was at the
organ console and accompanied
Kathy Smith, guest soloist who
sang Climb every Mountain and
I'll Walk Beside You.
The parents of the couple are.
Mr, & Mrs, Clarence Fairbaim,
Sanders Street, Exeter, and Dr. &
Mrs. Stephen A. Moore, London.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was charming in
a floor length Victorian gown of
eyelet organdy which featured
satin inserts and a sweeping
cathedral train. Her headpiece
was a cluster of daisies and a pink
satin bow which held a full length
silk illusion veil. She carried white
daisies and pink sweetheart roses.
The bridal attendants, Nancy
McTavish, Exeter, Mrs. Jack
Cooper, Toronto, Mrs. Ron
Culley, Kingston and Mrs. Fred
Learn, Kingston, wore high
waisted, long sleeved gowns of
shocking pink crepe which were
enhanced with tubular bow trim
of silver, pink and green at the
bodices and cuffs. The flowers of
the attendants were old fashioned
nosegays of assorted flowers.
John Davidson, Kitchener,
was best man and Dr. Doug ,
Holder, Montreal, Dr. John
Tasker, London, and Bill
Fairbairn, Petrolia, ushered the
guests.
After the ceremony the bride's
parents, entertained the guests at
their home.
Later the young couple left for
a wedding trip to Banff and
Jasper, the bride wearing a red
wool coat and dress ensemble
with white accessories.
Dr. & Mrs. Moore will reside in
Toronto where the groom will be
doing a residency in internal
medicine at Toronto Western
Hospital.

Lynda Ruth Stire became the
bride of David Edgar Baker at
Exeter United Church with Rev.
Glen Wright officiating, June 27,
1970.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stire, Exeter,
Ontario and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Baker of
RR 1 Granton, Ontario.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose a
floor-length gown of white lagoda
styled in Empire lines with high
ruffled neckline and long sleeves.
A row of guipure daisies outlined
the neckline and cuffs. A graceful
chapel train trimmed with the
same lace fell softly from the
back waist. A dainty floral cluster
held her four-tier silk illusion veil.
She carried a cascade of yellow
roses and ivy.
The maid of honor was Mrs.
Brenda Baker, London and the
bridesmaids were Mrs. Marion
Heinbuck, Kitchener and Sandra
Errington, Huron Park. They
were gowned in dresses of mauve
chiffon with empire lines and
scooped necklines. A band of
floral and leaf trim accented the
empire waist and the top of the
free flowing panel at the back.
Their headpieces were net bows
with trailing daisies. They carried
nosegays of white, mauve and
yellow daisies.
Paul Baker, London, was best
man for his brother and the
ushers were Grant Thomson, RR
6 St. Marys, cousin of the groom
and Glenn Stire„ brother of the
bride.
Mrs. Paul Schenk, Crediton,
played the wedding music and
accompanied the soloist, Mrs..
Charles Browning, Crediton,
cousin of the bride.
For a wedding trip to northern
Ontario the bride. wore a beige
fortrel dress with lace vest and
orange accessories.
The couple will reside on the
groom's farm at RR 3 Lucan,
Ontario.

First St. Andrews United
Church, London, decorated with
standards of white flowers and
candles, was the setting for the
recent wedding of Gloria
Sharlene Edythe Davey and
Cameron Clarence Davis, with
Rev. A. J. Farquhar officiating.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Dorothy Davey and the late
Cavell Davey, London, and the
groom's parents are Mr. & Mrs.
Clarence Davis, RR 1, Lucan.
Traditional wedding music
was played by organistBarrie
Cabena who also acconipanied
the soloist, Mrs. John Dickins,
Exeter.
Given in marriage by her
uncle, Victor Cuthbert, the bride
was lovely in a gown of white
French lagoda in empire lines and
A-line skirt. Guipure lace
accented the short sleeves and the
skirt front. A chapel train
cascaded from a bow at the back
neckline, and the headpiece of
small flowers and pearls held a
shoulder length bouffant veil of
silk illusion. She carried a cascade
of white carnations, cattleya
orchids, stephanotis and ivy.
The maid of honor was Bonnie
Watson, Ailsa Craig and the
bridesmaids were sisters of the
bride, Mrs. Frank Serle and Mrs.
Wayne Love.
They respectively wore
chiffon gowns over taffeta in
shades of mauve, soft yellow, and
mint green trimmed with deeper
shades of velvet ribbon and floral
headpieces and carried hand
clusters of coral carnations,
orange delight roses, yellow and
white daisies and deep blue
cornflowers.
Kathy and Kimmie Serle,
London, nieces of the bride were
flower girls. Kathy wore a floor
length yellow dress styled
indentical to the bridesmaids' and
carried the same type of hand
cluster as the other attendants.
Kimmie's dress was identical
to the bride's in white lagoda and
her bouquet was a small cascade
of miniature white carnations,
pink roses and ivy.
Wayne Carroll, Centraitft, was
best man and Frank' Serie,
London, and Wayne LOVE r(ar a,
ushered the guests.
A reception followed at the
Carousel Inn, Londonand later In
the evening there was a dance at
the Lucan Arena.
The couple left for Florida and
'other southern states with the
bride wearing a turquoise dress
and coat ensemble with patent
accessories.
The happy couple will reside
on the groom's farm, Lucan, and
the bride is receptionist for the
Ontario Cancer Foundation,
London Clinic, at Victoria
Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sweeton,
London and granddaughter of
Mrs, Franklin Deibridge, Exeter.
The groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. john Milne, Brampton.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a gown of
white French lagoda: which
featured a high collar,
elbow-length sleeves and a silk
organza yolk trimmed with
Swiss guipure lace. A detachable
chapel train cascaded from the
back yoke and a French peau
silk illusion shoulder-length veil
was caught by a floral headpiece.
The bride's bouquet was of
yellow roses, stephanotis and
ivy.
The matron of honour, Mrs.
Gary Landers, Toronto, wore a
yellow chiffon gown in Smpire
style and stand-up .collar with
long full sleeves, trimmed with
guipure lace. A crescent of
yellow chiffon and white velvet
flower petals outlined her short
tulle veil. She carried a nosegay
of yellow carnations and roses,
outlined with ivy.
The groomsman was Ken
Waterman and the ushers were
Gary Landers, Toronto and
George Sweeton, London,
brother of the bride.
After the reception at the.
Friars Cellar the couple traveled
to Balsam Lake for their
honeymoon, the bride wearing a
yellow fortrel suit with pink and
white accessories.
They will reside in Toronto.

5 at their home on the Old
Guelph Road.
Friends and relatives from
near and a distance called to
extend congratulations and best

Mr. and Mrs. Winer were
married at the rectory of Trivitt
Memorial Anglican Church,
Exeter, by Rev. A. A. Trumpet.
Mrs. Winer was the former
Florence Wood.
The couple resided in Exeter
until 1941 when they moved to
Hamilton.
They have one son, Donald,
and six grandchildren.
