Those coming the longest distance were Mr. & Mrs. Russell Hodgert and Mary, Mrs. Margaret Bauer and Paul, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mr. & Mrs. Millard Crandall from Jamestown, New York. Oldest in attendance were M. Foster Bray, Toronto and Mrs. Milton Hodgert, London. Winners of sports were David Gilmour, Brian Bray, Eugene Luxton, Paul Gilmour, Lee Hodgert, Kevin Gilmour, Mary Hodgert, Susan Rice, Ruth Bray, Sandra Stewart, Allan Luxton, Robert Bray. Diane Hodgert, Lynda Hodgert, Charlie and Ross Hodgert, Vi Coates, Brenda Hodgert, Michael Strapp, Kathleen Hodgert, Brian Hodgert, Mac Hodgert, Laurel Hodgert, Glen Stewart, David Olson. The president is Mrs. Whitney Coates with Miss Lillian Hodgert as treasurer. HUNTER The annual Hunter Reunion was held Sunday at the Centralia Community Centre with 40 in attendance. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Brock and Mr. & Mrs. Glen Hunter conductecra variety of games. Winners were: races, Kelly Tiedeman; putting potatoes, Gladys McDonald and Michael Hunter; clothes pins on hanger, Gladys McDonald; spitting seeds in pail, Gladys McDonald, Barbara Tiedeman, Michael Hunter and Walt Tiedeman. Special prizes were awarded to: oldest person, Everett Skinner; youngest person, Michael Tiedeman; lucky spot, Frank Dickens; coming the farthest, Mrs. Laura Hunter and family from St. Catharines. After supper president, Miss Ruth Skinner, conducted the business. Officers for 1971 are: presidents, Mr. & Mrs. Reg McDonald; vice presidents, Mr. Mrs. Bill Brock; secretary- treasurer, Stewart Griff; table committee, Mr. & Mrs. Ray Laramie. Following the business Miss Helen Hunter and Stewart Griff showed slides of their recent trips GARDINER The Gardiner Reunion was at the home of Mervin Shute, RR 1, Kirkton, with 41 present. Following the noon meal, a variety of sports were enjoyed, under the direction of Joanne Hodgert. Winners of the races were Larry Gardiner, Shirley Bears, Wilmer Howatt, Murray Barr, Patricia Hodgert, Aubrey and Bruce Ross, Betty Ross, Lee Hodgert, Keith Howatt, Laurel Hodgert, Joanne Hodgert, Judy Howatt, Kevin Howatt, Mervin Shute, Gordon Howatt. A myster spot prize was won by Marrion Barr; birthday closest to picnic, Mrs. Gordon Howatt; and anniversary nearest date of picnic went to Mr. & Mrs. Robert Gardiner. After the evening meal, the President, Larry Gardiner, conducted the business. 22-7 to Brucefield, Monday night they were on the short end of a 23-8 count to Shakespeare and Tuesday night on the Exeter diamond they held the Mitchell girls to a 13-13 draw, Action this week has the Greys on the road on two occasions. They travel to Brucefield Friday night and go to Mitchell for a Tuesday night contest, COME FROM BEHIND The Greys were forced to score twice in the bottom of the seventh, Tuesday in order to gain the tie with Mitchell. Marlene Parsons got on base on an error, Joan Campbell singled and both girls were able to score to tie up the ball game in the seventh. The Greys went ahead in the first scoring four runs on five singles. Getting the one base blows were Patti Robinson, Lynne Farquhar, Joan Campbell and Glenda Fisher. Singles by Anne Jorgensen and Marlene Parsons sent one more run home in the second frame. Marie Tieman's triple and singles from the bats of Pat Down and Ann Jorgensen were responsible for four Grey counters in the third. Jorgensen tripled for her third hit of the night in the fifth to score two runs and complete the Grey scoring until their tying rally in the seventh. SCORE EARLY The Greys scored three times in the first inning during their 23-8 loss to Shakespeare and added the same amount in the fifth and tallied twice in the seventh. Singles by Patti Robinson, Joan Campbell and Pat Down were responsible for the early Grey scoring. FALL BEHIND QUICKLY Brumfield scored eight times in the first inning and had little trouble in running the score to 22-7 against the Greys. Marie Tieman scored the first Exeter run in the third inning. Ann Jorgensen's homer with Jayne Broderick, Glenda Fisher and Pat Down on the bases helped produce five runs in the fourth.
