Institute at the historical research and current events meeting held in the To wnsh ip Hall, Thursday evening. First vice-president, Mrs. Ross Smale, presided and opened with the Institute Ode and Mary Stewart Collect. Fourteen members and 14 visitors were each presented with a corsage on arrival. Roll call was to display a keepsake to pass on to your children or grandchildren, and many lovely articles were on display. Staffa 1 club gave a demonstration on a salad plate with Ruth Jeffery and Ruth Templeman participating. Staffa 2 set up an exhibit on vegetables all year round with Julie Ann Elliott giving the commentary. Staffa 3 club gave a demonstration on dressing up vegetables, with Marilyn Miller and Mrs. Gerald Carey participating. A contest on scrambled words of items used in Grandmother's kitchen was enjoyed by all. Prizes were awarded to the oldest grandmother, Mrs. Darrel Parker; youngest grandmother, Mrs. Ross Smale; grandmother with the most great-grand- children, Mrs. Ed. Butson. Mrs. John Templeman and Mrs, Ross Smale will be in cha of 4-H leaders for the coming 4-H Homemaking club. The meeting closed with lunch served by the hostesses Mrs, Robert McCaughey, Miss Olive Speare, Mrs. Ross Smale and Mrs. Cameron Vivian.
