In Huron County only 43 farmers went to the polls with 26 votes in favor of the increase and. 17 against. Middlesex County Wheat Producers also voted in favor by a score of 28 to 10. Only 13 Perth County farmers signed the ballots rejecting the 15" FRAME 20 x 1.75 FRONT TIRE 20 x 2.125 REAR TIRE Ontario winter wheat producers have rejected a proposal that the Stabilization Levy Deduction on their crop be increased from the present 10% of the negotiated minimum price to 17%. Balloting was conducted at special meetings of wheat producers in each county where wheat is grown. These meetings were held during the past two weeks, following individual notices being mailed to each of the approximately 20,000 eligible producers in the province. In a light turn-out, the proposition was rejected, with 526 producers voting against the increased levy, and 513 producers favoring the suggestion. A total of 1 039 growers marked ballots. The Stabilization Levy is used by the Ontario Wheat Producers Marketing Board to dispose of surplus stocks of wheat that threaten the market. The By MRS. M. H.
