Lighted tapers and baskets of
mums and snapdragon formed a
pretty setting at Zion United

To the strains of St.
Anthony's Choral by Hayden,
played by the church organist,
Mrs. Geraldine Schenk, the bride
entered the church on the arm of
her father.
She wore a gown of frosted
lagoda crepe fashioned in the
empire lines. Dainty guipure lace
outlined the waistline and the
standup collar. It was repeated on
the French cuffs of the long
sleeves and formed a border on
the detachable train. Her
four-tiered, scalloped silk illusion
veil held a single pearl in each
scallop and was fastened to her
head by a tiara of stiffened
guipure lace. Her cascade bridal
bouquet was made up of
sweetheart roses, stephanotis and
ivy.
Attending the bride were
Betty MacEachern of Westville,
Nova Scotia, Ruth Ann King,
sister of the groom and Mrs.
Robert Lawrence and Peggy
Wallace, sisters of the bride.
They were dressed alike in
gowns of orange ice polyester
brocade, styled similar to the
bride's gown. Their headdresses
were matching bows; they carried
nosegays of orange rosebuds and
miniature carnations with white
streamers.
Brian Lamport was
groomsman and the guests were
ushered by Bill Wallace, Larry
Willert and Jim Neil.
Mrs. Marylin Hoener, soloist,
sang as the guests assembled and
during the signing of the register.
Following a reception held at
the Legion Hall, Exeter, the
young couple left on a trip to the
Atlantic Provinces and the
Eastern United States.
For travelling the bride chose
an ensemble of pale blue crinkle
nylon ci ere with white
accessories.
