CLANDEBOYE
The service of Morning Prayer
was conducted Sunday by R. A.
Carson in St. James Anglican
Church. In his sermon Mr. Carson
spoke of the laxity in Education
in the home, the school, and the
church. He said the primary
responsibility for the upbringing
of children rests with the parents.
Too many mothers and fathers
shirk responsibility to their
children and the schools are busy
chasing all the latest
psychological nostrum.
Mr. Carson said training must
start with a clear conviction of
who it is to be trained. The child
is not a bio-chemical by-product
of marriage, but is the gift of God,
and belongs to God. The child
will one day by grace, lay hold on
heaven or turn his face towards
hell.
The minister concluded by
reminding the congregation that
God reveals to us his great love for
us, day by day just like the
proverb says, line upon line,
precept upon precept, here a little
there a little.
