The appeal for books for our
Service men and women overseas
is meeting with fine results, we
will soonhave enough to make our
'first shipment. Keep up the good
work folks, it is appreciated.
What's this we hear about an
army type trying to make like a
matelot (seaman to you
landlubbers). It is rumoured that
one of our good Comrades aboard
the good ship — Motor Vessel
RHEA — when she sailed from
Port Stanley to Sarnia to attend
the recent naval reunion in that
fair city over the holiday
weekend, turned a little green
around the gills and it wasn't
from envy either. I wonder if it
could be that he got a little
seasick. What do you think
Comrade Pat? After all you know
what they say `To each his own.'

In spite of the terrific storm
and 3 inches of Water in the Sea,
Land and Air Lounge we had a
pretty good turnout at the stag

grateful and thank those who
attended or participated in
anyway for their support.

The Lucan Legion and Lions
Fireworks display held May 18
was fairly well attended — the
weather was chilly and there
being so many displays
throughout the area, I expect we
got our fair share of spectators, I
was there and enjoyed it
immensely, the best display by
far, to date. The two sponsoring
clubs are to be congratulated for
their fine combined effort on
you wouldn't expect to find in a Volkswagen:
Like electronic fuel injection. A Porsche-
type rear suspension. A more powerful engine.
( It cruises at better than 80.1 It also has disc
brakes in front and an optional fully automatic
transmission.
What's more, you get all of this for less
than $2700.
No doubt about it.
That's a Volkswagen.
That's a Volkswagen,
Honest.
The Volkswagen Notchback.
And while it doesn't bear the slightest
resemblance to a VW, it does bear some
terrific similarities:
Like gas economy. An air-cooled en-

only in a — . well, Volkswagen.
