He was on his way to Courtwright for a load of fertilizer when he had to .swerve to avoid hitting some boys who crossed the road in front of the truck as it came up over a grade. The truck rolled over into a deep, ditch and the driver sustained head injuries. The truck was a total loss. CANOE RACE Danny Shoebottom and Tom Prout, competitors in the Bunny Bundle Canoe race Sunday succeeded in finishing the 391/2 mile race. The high wind forced many of the canoeists out of the race. PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Elliott attended the Hollinger Hardware Spring Show at Bingeman Park in Kitchener Tuesday of last week. Mrs. E. McKegney returned to her home in Sarnia Sunday after visiting for two weeks with Mr. & Mrs. Victor Drought.
