A dollar still goes a long way.
A dollar may buy a lot less these
days--- but it doesn't buy less Volkswagen.
We still stamp the famous beetle
shape out of a heavier gauge metal than
even most big cars use.
And our paint job is still the envy of
the industry. 28 pounds worth. 4 coats.
1 out of every 8 VW employees is
on inspector, They inspect every part of
every Volkswagen 3 times, And then give
the finished bug a going over cars cost-
ing twice as much don't get.
How much do you have to pay for
all this?
Only $1979
And right away you can start saving
money. Because a Volkswagen will never
cost you more for upkeep than you can
keep up with.
Which is only right.
After all, if you're buying a small
car to fight inflation, we think
you should buy one that won't
fight back.
