T-A photo There is a strong possibility that the Lucan-Ilderton Jets will be back in action in the Ontario Hockey Association Intermediate "B" hockey final this weekend. Shortly before press time, Wednesday afternoon, Lucan-Ilderton manager Don Urbshott told the T-A, he had been in touch with the manager of the Napanee club and it is possible that Napanee will be at the Huron Park arena, Saturday night. At the moment Napanee leads Elmvale three games to one and the fifth game is being played in Napanee tonight, Thursday, If Napanee is successful in tonight's game the first two games in the best-of-seven provincial final will be played at Huron Park arena, this weekend. The first game Would go at Huron Park Saturday night at eight o'clock with the second slated for Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, The Jets would then make the trip to Napanee the following weekend for Saturday and Sunday contests. Playing coach Jack Nairn has been calling three practices a week in an attempt to keep the players in top condition. Competing in the provincial final has capped a long and successful season for the Jets, Finishing in second place in the league standings, the Jets have won 14 games while losing six in playoff competition. After disposing of the Acton Tanners by three games to one in the first round, the L-I boys almost fell by the way side to the Elmira Polar Kings, The Jets were forced to win three straight against Elmira after blowing five goal leads in the first two games.
