Here we are back from the
frozen north. There is still about
four feet of ice on Lake
Temiskarning and plenty of
snow for the happy Skidoo
enthusiast.
Although the weather may
have been cold, the warmth of
my Northern Comrades
hospitality made the trip
worthwhile.
Our Dominion President
Comrade Bob Kohaly, guest
speaker at the District K
Convention was an immediate
hit, as he is wherever he goes. He
made some very interesting
announcements, one being that
Ontario's membership in the
Canadian Legion has at last
exceeded 100,000 with total
membership in Canada of over
300,000.
He also advised that in the
very near future most of the
recommendations contained in
the Wood's Report would be
implemented, it is expected the
W.V.A. will be increased by 15%
which is good news and the
disability pensioners will be
receiving an interim increase of
10%. If you have ever heard
Comrade Kohaly speak you
would know that his speeches
are always loaded.
Although, it's nice to get
home it sure is hard to get back
into the groove, incidentally

Easter Sunday the Rev.
Carson preached on the
Resurrection of Christ. His text
was "The Lord is risen indeed'.
He said these were words of
conviction both for the disciples
and for us.
Mr. Carson pointed out that
they were words of joyfulness;
first because Jesus Christ died
and rose for our justification;
second, Jesus had to rise to
make intercession for us with
God; Jesus was fullfilling a
promise to send his people a
comforter,and fourthly, those
who have died are assembled
with Jesus Christ who has the
keys of death and Hell. On
Easter we should rise to the
ressurection life.
Next Sunday Evening Prayer
will be read at 12:45 P.M.

That's a Volkswagen.
Honest.
The Volkswagen Notchback,
And while it doesn't bear the slightest
resemblance to a VW, it does beer some
terrific similarities:
like gas economy, An air-cooled en-
gine. And workmanship you'd expect to find
only in , well, Volkswagen.
The Notchback also has a few things
you wouldn't expect to find in a Volkswagen:
Like electronic fuel injection, A Porsche-
type rear suspension. A more powerful engine.
(It cruises at better than 80.1 It also has disc
brakes in front and an optional fully automatic
transmission.
What's more, you get all of this for less
than $2700.
No doubt about it.
That's a Volkswagen.
