The McGillivray Women's
Institute met at the home of
Mrs. Joe Carey. Roll call "What I
would do if I had more
education" was answered by 13
members.
The motto "The most
positive way to insure a child's
education is to pull the wires on
radio and TV" was given by Mrs.
Melvin Allison.
The education convener, Mrs.
George Prest gave a talk on
education, former and today,
with a display of school pictures
of both times.
The business was discussed
with Mrs. Tom Kooy,
vice-president, in the chair.
Money was sent to sponsor a
Korean child.
Standing convener reports
and nominating slate of officers
for 1970-71 was given.
Mrs. Fraser Dixon, District
Director gave a report on a
meeting held in London.
