First carnival presented
by skaters at Huron Park
costumes were quite varied.
The numbers ranged from
Alley Cats, Chimney Sweeps,
Cha Cha Girls, Indians and
Fashion Models to Scarlet
Ribbons.
The guest skater was Susan
Dignan of the Zurich skating
club and senior coach Troyanne
Bell also performed. Mrs. Edith
Bell of Hensall is the club pro.
Randy Hicks and Julie Nash
delighted the audience with their
pairs performance.
Mrs. Donald Pearson is
president of the Huron Park
skating club and Mrs. Les
Roberts is badge secretary. Mrs.
Philip Campbell is secretary
while Mrs. James Beer is ice
director.

Underwood handled the duties
of master of ceremonies while
Mrs. J. Nash, Mrs. G. Somann
and Mrs. D. McCart were in
charge of costumes, decorations,
and make-up.

Teacher feted
at McGillivray

Miss Gunsch, a teacher at
McGillivray Central School was
married Saturday, March 21 at
First St. Andrews Church in
London.
The teachers and pupils of
the senior grades gathered
together Friday in the
auditorium and Peggy Steeper
and Nancy Kemp presented her
with a gift on behalf of the
pupils. The teachers also gave
her a gift.
Miss G u n sch thanked
everyone appropriately.
After the holiday, she will
continue teaching Grades five
and six but her name will then
be Mrs. Tietz.
