UCW The United Church Women met at the home of Mrs. Arnold Blake. Mrs, Alex McIntosh presented the study book. Material was received for a bale quilt and Mrs. L. Derbyshire is contributing the work on it. It was decided to hold a ham and turkey supper on March 25. Some members will attend the Middlesex Presbyterial in London, February 18. Mrs. Lloyd Knight program convener was in charge of the worship service, the •theme for which was "From Clannishness Toward Open Community." The scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Jack Duncan. The topic was presented by Mrs. Fleming Simpson, Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne and Mrs. William Rohde. Mrs. Ross Cottle read a poem. Mrs. Floyd Stewart, president conducted the business. PATON CLANDEBOYE The service of Holy Communion was celebrated Sunday at St. James Church when Rev. R.A. Carson preached on the First Love using scripture from Revelations. He said the Ephesian's church was set in the midst of an evil affluency and he compared its decline to the position of the Christian church in Clandeboye. Rev.
