DISPOSAL PROGRAM With effect from January 1, 1970 the use of D.D.T. is banned throughout Ontario except in tobacco and apple growing and then only on a permit basis. Those with D.D.T. in their possession must not dispose of it along with ordinary refuse or flush it into drains or down water closets (toilets). A disposal program has been arranged by the Huron County Health Unit in co-operation with the Ontario Department of Health. Persons who wish to dispose of D.D.T. Dti .32 MORE HENSALL NEWS ON PAGE 6 ir.I rg Exchange vows at Hensall UC Christmas decorations and lighted candles formed the background for the pretty wedding of Muriel Dianne Ferguson and Thomas Alexander Dalrymple. Rev. H. F. Currie performed the ceremony in Hensall United Church at 3 o'clock, December 20, 1969. Mrs. John Turkhelm contributed the music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Ferguson, Hensall and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Dalrymple, Exeter. Mr. Ferguson escorted his daughter down the aisle. She was lovely in a floor length gown of white peau de sole featuring a sweetheart neck line trimmed with baby pearls and lace. The sleeves of the dress were long and pointed at the wrist and a chapel train fell from the shoulders. The shoulder length veil was held with baby pearls and small white flowers. The bouquet of the bride was composed of red carnations and ivy. Audrey Hodgert, Bornholm, cousin of the bride was the bridal attendant. She was gowned in a dress of emerald green velvet and lighter green peau de sole with an empire waist and scooped neckline. She wore a two-toned bow head piece and her flowers were red and white mums. Douglas Dalrymple, Exeter was his 'brother's best man. The ushers were Charles Dalrymple, a brother of the groom and Kenneth Ferguson, Hensall, the bride's brother. The wedding reception was held in the United Church parlours where Mrs. Ferguson received guests wearing a gold two piece suit with gold and brown accessories and a bronze and yellow corsage. She was assisted by the groom's mother who chose a mint green dress, black accessories and yellow corsage. After the reception the new bride donned a smart mauve wool outfit, trimmed with Persian lamb. She completed her costume with an orchid corsage. The happy couple are now residing at 65 Victoria Street E., Exeter. Edward Purdy dies in Hensall Edward Purdy, 65, resident at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, passed away at the home on Monday. A native of Kingston he had no living survivors. A brief funeral service was held at the Mausoleum at the Hensall Union cemetery Wednesday with Rev. W. D. Jarvis officiating. Bonthron Funeral Home Hensall was in charge of arrangements. PLAN ANNUAL Rev. W. D. Jarvis conducted service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday, delivering an inspiring New Year's message entitled "Pressing On." The annual meeting will be held in the school-room of the church on Friday, January 16, at 8 p.m. MOBILE HOME PLANT AT HENSALL PROGRESSING —Work is progressing favorably on the construction of a 336 by 220 foot building by Boise Cascade in Hensall. Located in the south-west area of the village, the new factory will produce mobile homes and will employ an additional 150 persons. Boise Cascade owns the former General Coach Works in Hensel'.
