Healing Substance:
Shrinks Piles
Exclusive healing substance proven to shrink
hemorrhoids and repair damaged tissue,
A renowned research institute has
found a unique healing substance
with the ability, to shrink hemor-
rhoids painlessly It relieves itching
and discomfort in minutes and
speeds up healing of the injured, inflamed tissue.
In case after case, while gently
relieving pain, actual reduction
(shrinkage) took place.
Most important of all—results
were so thorough that this improve-
ment was maintained over a period
of many months.
This was accomplished with a
new healing substance (Bio-Dyne)
which quickly helps heal injured
cells and stimulates growth of new
tissue.
Now BM-Dyne is offered in oint-
ment and suppository form called

Council debates
violence question
Councillor Helen Jermyn had
to leave Monday's meeting early,
but had she left a tape recorder
at the table,she probably would
have realized just how much
some of her male counterparts
are "hampered" in their
discussions with a lady Present.
Shortly after she left, council
members engaged in a debate
over the increase of violence and
sex in movies, TV and books,
and their comments were quite
frank.
The debate arose after a
resolution had been received
from Markham asking council's
support for an attack against the
growing tendency towards
violence and sex.
"Who are we to judge
someone else's morals?"
questioned Reeve Boyle, who
gave a rather graphic account of
a recent pictorial review he had
seen of a Broadway play that
featured nude actors.
He indicated he wasn't in
favor of it, but pointed out that
most kids learn the facts of life
and foul language on the streets
from older people — and not
necessarily from movies.
Referring to sex pictures,
Mayor Jack Delbridge
questioned why they wanted to
show such things.
"Because the people want it,"
Boyle flatly replied.
Although some council
members expressed concern over
the situation, they filed the
matter and moved on to other
business.

At Tuesday's regular meeting,
Stephen township council
decided to call for applications
for road superintendent for the
second time.
Seven applications had been
received and were dealt with at
the first meeting in November.
Council has met several times on
the matter since that time and
not able to come up with a
successor for present road
superintendent Lawrence Hill.
Hill resigned a few months
ago after serving more than 21
years in the capacity of directing
road operations.
Stephen building inspector
Arnold McCann attended the
meeting, making his annual visit
and reported that 49 permits
had been issued during the year
and he was keeping a constant
check on new construction.
A few weeks ago, council
decided to keep a closer watch
on construction that was taking
place before a building permit
was secured.
The township's present fire
bylaw was updated naming
Harold Schroeder as chief of the
Dashwood volunteer brigade and
Allan Becker in charge of a
similar department at Crediton.
Council members voted
themselves a raise retroactive to
the beginning of 1969. The
increase will be $50 across the
board. Reeve James Hayter will
now receive a total of $625;
Deputy-Reeve Joseph Dietrich
$525 and all councillors $500
each,
A building permit was issued
to Norman Hodgins of Hodgins

construct warehouse and office

another public health inspector
in 1970.
Following much discussion
council gave approval to hire
another public health inspector
because it was felt that this
person could carry out plumbing
inspections in addition to other
regular work.
When asked what the public
health inspectors actually do to
keep themselves so busy, Wilmer
Cuthill and Roy B. Cousins told
council these inspectors carry
out regular inspections on dairy
farms, in eating establishments,
in food processing plants, etc.
