entertained Mr. & Mrs. David
Millar at a dinner at the
Dominion Hotel, Zurich. The
occasion was the twenty-fifth
wedding anniversary of Mr. &
Mrs. Millar.
On returning to their home,
after the dinner, they were
surprised by a party of twenty
of their neighbours who

The remainder of the evening
was spent in a social time and
refreshments were served by the
neighboring ladies.

Limburg-Stirum of Correo,
Argentina.
The Countess attended the
Royal Winter Fair with Mr. &
Mrs. Fritz on the weekend and
then flew to Spain.
Later she will visit in her
native country, Holland, where
she will spend the Christmas
holidays with her family at
Maarsbergen Castle, Maarsbergen.

Bill Brenner who sang "The
Wedding. Prayer" and "Two
Shall be One,"
The Reverend H. G. Dobson
performed the double wedding
ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown of
nylon chantilly lace over silk
lagoda. It was fashioned with a
fitted, slightly raised lace bodice
with full sleeves cuffed at the
wrists. The neckline was graced
by a simple collar, and the silk
lagoda skirt fell in a dome shape
with a bustle back. Her
semi-cathedral length train was
caught to the back at the waist.
Small bows closed the back of
the bodice.
A fairy crown of crystals and
pearls held a scalloped shoulder
veil of nylon illusion, accented
by pearls.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Ron Sweitzer, and the
bridemsiads were Miss Hilda
Levy and Miss Barbara Dundas,
all of Stratford. The niece of the
bride, Sherri Sweitzer, acted as
flower girl.
All were gowned indentically
in dresses of royal blue crimple
chiffon over taffeta. They
featured scooped necklines from
which flowed chiffon, floor
length trains attached at the
back. Multi-colored flower
edging trimmed the waists, the
sleeves and the tops of the
trains.
Their headpieces were
matching blue chiffon rosettes
with small floral centres. They
carried red roses, pink miniature
carnations, white mums with red
streamers.
The best man was Douglas
Galloway, Crediton.
The ushers, Ronald Sweitzer,
Stratford and Lorne Auricles,
London, showed the guests to
their places.
Brian Dundas, London,
nephew of the groom, was ring
bearer.
The wedding reception
followed at the Dashwood
Community Centre.
Mrs. Sweitzer, mother of the
bride, greeted guests wearing a
blue coat and dress ensemble,
with blue velvet brocade hat,
and black accessories. She was
assisted by the groom's mother
who chose a blue crepe dress
with gold metallic hat and black
accessories.
The evening was completed
with dancing for the guests to
the music of the Roger Quick
Orchestra.
The happy couple left for a
wedding trip to Florida and
other southern states. For
travelling Mrs. Dundas donned
an olive green and off-white
dress-suit, with brown alligator
shoes and purse. Her corsage was
yellow roses and bronze mums,
They will take up residence at
RR 2 Crediton.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was honored at several
social events. She was showered
at the home of Mrs. Douglas
Galloway, Crediton. The Shipka
neighbors and friends feted her
at the Shipka Community
Centre. Mrs. William Rundle
entertained aunts and cousins In
her home at Woodham, and Mrs.
William Scholes, London gave a
shower for relatives.
The SHDHS student council
has contributed $200.00 to the
local Association for the
Mentally Retarded.
This was a portion of the
proceeds raised from the recent
"Walk" sponsored by the
student council.
Mrs. James Scott, principal
of Huron Hope School reports
that the regional board has hired
Mrs. Mildred MacGregor as a half
time teacher,
There are twelve students
enrolled at the school.
A general meeting of the
South Huron and District
Association will be held in the
Dashwood Community Centre
on November 26.
The election and installation
of officers for the coming year
will be conducted.
The meeting will feature a
social and musical evening and
refreshments will be served.

late afternoon wedding of Janice
Elizabeth Case and Richard
James Emmerton, November 8,
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Case,
Kincardine and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Emmerton, also of Kincardine.
The couple exchanged vows
before the Reverend Andrew
Blackwell,
Mrs. Audrey Haberer
presented the wedding music.
The bride's father escorted
his daughter down the aisle. She
was lovely in a dress of cloud
white delustred bridal satin, The
gown featured empire waistline
and pointed sleeves and was
frosted with lace daisy motifs. A
full cathedral train completed
her ensemble. She carried a
bouquet of shasta daisies and
yellow carnations.

The fall meeting of the South
Huron Women s Institute
executive met in Hensall on
Tuesday, November 18 with
Mrs. Delbert Geiger, Zurich
presiding.
Mrs. Patricia Jackson,
London, has been appointed as
supervisor of County home
economists.
Miss Ruth Skinner, RR 3,
Exeter, gave the report of the
County rally at Dungannon and
the area Convention at St.
Thomas,
Next year the Area
Convention will be held in
Central United Church,
Stratford.
Mrs. Wilfred Mack, Crediton,
presented a life membership to
Mrs. John McLean,Seaforth on
behalf Of South uron District
for her Work in the Institute
both in the district and in the
province.
The rally next year will be
held in South Huron.
