Mrs, Robert Dinney who
commenced with a prayer in
Remembrance theme.
A piano solo by Susan Davis
was very much enjoyed.
The worship part of the
service was taken by Mrs. Clare
Hoffman, Mrs. Charles Snell,
Mrs. Lloyd Henderson and Mrs.
Dinney who read the poem "In
Flander's Fields."
Mrs. Dinney introduced the
guest speaker, Mrs. Richard
Etherington, who told of her
work in the High
Commissioner's office, Canada
House, England before the start
of the war.
She told of the day war broke
out in 1939, how they prepared
air raid shelters, how they lived
through the Battle of Britain,
the preparations of the
evacuation of Dunkirk in the
little boats large enough for two
but brought back as many as six
in them.
— This first hand view of war
preparations made us all be very
thankful that we did not have to
live through such trying times.
The benediction was sung by
Mrs. Dinney and the ladies
humming to the music.

IN MEMORIAM
DIXON — In loving memory of
our dear daughter Eleanor
who passed away one year
ago November 16, 1968.
This month comes back with
sad regret,
It brings back a day we will
never forget;
You fell asleep without a
goodbye
But our memories of you will
never die.
We miss you more than anyone
knows,
As each day passes the emptiness
grows
The tears we shed we can wipe
away,
But the ache in our hearts will
always stay;
You left so suddenly, your
thoughts unknown,
But you left us memories we are
proud to own.
— Lovingly remembered by
Mom and Dad. 13*
EACRETT — In loving memory
of our dear parents and
grandparents, Margaret and
Robert Eacrett, who passed
away November 18, 1953 and
September 4, 1936.
Tenderly we treasure the past
With memories that will always
last,
And when we cease to think of
you,
Will be when God has called us
too.
— Ever remembered by
daughters and son-in-law, and
grandchildren Paul, Jane and
Eric Hancock. 13c
FABER — In loving memory of
Harry Faber who passed away
one year ago November 14,
1968.
You didn't have time to say
farewell
Nor us to say goodbye;
You were gone before we
realized
And only God knows why.
We cannot forget your smiling
face,
Your happy, carefree ways;
The smile that won so many
friends
In those happy bygone days.
— Sadly missed and always
remembered by the family.
13e
G AR DINER — In loving
memory of a dear son and
brother Robert (Bert) who
passed away one year ago
November 15, 1968.
As we look upon your picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine
A smile for one and all.
To one no longer with us
But in our hearts still lives
To hear your voice, to see your
smile
To sit with you and talk awhile
To be together in the same old
way
Would be our dearest wish
today.
— Lovingly remembered by Dad,
Mary, Melvin and Audrey.
