The South Huron Panthers moved Into the Huron-Perth Football Conference Junior final Wednesday afternoon with a convincing 26-0 win over the Goderich Vikings at Huron Park. The Panthers coached by Doug Ellison and Jack Riddell now meet either St. Marys or Listowel in the league final to be played Wednesday afternoon Novermber 12 at 2.30 p.m., also at Huron Park. Randy Prescator was the scoring star for the Panthers coming up with all but two of the team's points. Preszcator scored three times in the first half on runs of 12, 68 and 9 yards, Early in the fourth quarter, Preszcator took a screen pass from quarterback Murray Glanville and went 45 yards for his fourth • touchdown of the afternoon. Glanville passed to halfback Dave Cyr for a two-point convert. Cyr was a constant ' threat offensively for the Panthers gaining 83 yards in 11 carries. WIN EXHIBITION The South Huron District High School junior Panthers kept up their winning ways in preparation for the Huron-Perth Conference playoffs by blanking A. B. Lucas of London 19-0 in an exhibition tilt in London, Thursday afternoon. The Panthers have now piled up seven straight victories and met Goderich in a sudden-death semi-final game at Huron Park yesterday afternoon, Wednesday. The Panthers used consistently strong running and several big pass plays to score all their points in the first half against Lucas. South Huron started shakily. On the first offensive play from scrimmage, a Glanville pass was intercepted and Lucas took over the ball at the South Huron 35 yard line, The next time South Huron had the ball a bad lateral enabled Lucas to get the ball back, again deep in Panther territory. But, the Panther defense was as usual, equal to the task and Novice team wins opener The Exeter novice club scored two goals in every period as they downed the Lucan novice boys at the Exeter arena, Saturday in the first game of the Shamrock league schedule. Robert Heard and Gary Saleski each scored a goal in the first period to put the Exeterites out in front and came back in the third session with a similar performance. Perry and Paul Pooley each scored once in the middle period to take care of the Exeter scoring. Rick Freeman fired the line Lucan counter. David Bogart added three assists to aid the Exeter cause. they shut the door on the Londoners. Mr. & Mrs. George Latta of the Mollard Line visited Sunday with their son Raymond and family at Sarnia. Mrs. Wellwood Gill attended The Times-Advocate Seminar Supper at Dashwood Thursday evening and toured the T-A offices afterward. Visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Ray Patterson Sunday were Mr. & Mrs. Emerson Woodburn, Mr. & Mrs. Milton Woodburn, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Adair and family and Mr. & Mrs. James Patterson. The southern division includes teams from Clinton, Seaforth, Milverton, Monkton, Listowel and Crediton with the north group consisting of Wiarton, Kincardine, Arthur, Elora, Shelburne and Port Elgin. Each team will play a double home and home schedule with teams in their own group and a single schedule with clubs in the other division. Following is the schedule much of a scoring threat, Preszcator was the games leading ground gainer as he totalled 104 yards. Cyr was right on his heels gaining 95 yards along the ground. Curling starts at Exeter club The 1969-70 season got underway at the Exeter Curling Club over the weekend with a very successful mixed bonspiel. A total of 96 curlers, many of whom were trying the popular winter pastime for the first time competed on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. A rink skipped by King McDonald with other members being his wife Audrey and Bill and Kay Cann won the top prize. Other rinks in the money were headed by George Busche, Harry Mathers, Dick Jermyn, Clarence Down and Art Cann. involving Ciediton, Clinton and Seaforth teams: All games will be at 8:30 unless otherwise noted.
