The Lucan-Ilderton Jets are
engaged in a busy exhibition
schedule in preparation for the
opening game of the Ontario
Hockey Association
Intermediate "B" series to be
played at the Huron Park arena
Tuesday night at 8,30.
The Georgetown Raiders will
provide the opposition for the
opening contest for the Jets who
will again be coached by Steve
Storey and Don Urbshott.
In exhibition play this week,
the Jets downed the CreditOn
Tigers 10,3 Sunday night and
played a 5.5 tie with the
UniverQy of Western Ontario
Mustangs, Tuesday, Both games
were payed at the Huron Park
arena.
The Jets play Tillsonburg,
another OHA Intermediate "B"
team at Huron Park Friday night
at 8.30 and travel back to
Tillsenburg for a Sunday night
contest.
NAIRN EQUALS SCORE
Jack Nairn completed a
passing play with Max O'Neil
and Dusty Aldis at 16.59 of the
'bird period, Tuesday to give the
Jets the 5.5 draw with the
University club.
The Jets took a 1-0 lead after
the first twenty minutes of play
on an unassisted goal by speedy
Jamie Robb.
The two clubs traded single
goals in the second period with
Dave Webster scoring for the L-I
club and John Makins replying
for the Mustangs.
In the third period, Makins,
Bob Best and Bob Jeffrey scored
for Western while Max O'Neil
and Don Urbshott were tallying
for the Jets to set the stage for
Nairn's tying score.
DOUBLE SCORERS
The Jets got two goal efforts
from Jacques Cousineau, Dave
Webster and Jamie Robb in their
10.3 win over the Crediton
Tigers, Sunday night.
Single goals were added by
Jack Nairn, Barry Hearn, Ken
Loft and Steve Storey to
complete the L-I goal total.
Fred Lamb led the Crediton
scoring attack with two goals for
his night's work with Dennis
Morrissey adding a single
marker.
Doug Galloway of the Jets
was cut in the arm requiring six
stitches at South Huron Hospital
in Exeter.
RELEASE SCHEDULE
Seven teams have entered the
Central Division of the Ontario
Hockey Association
Intermediate "B" hockey league
and the schedule for the coming
Season was released last week by
convener Bob Braithwaite,
This district will be
represented by the
Lucan-Ilderton Jets and their
borne games will be played at
the Huron Park arena. Most of
the Jet games at home will be
played on Tuesday nights with
the only exceptions being on
Wednesday, December 3 and on
Boxing Day, December 26 when
a two o'clock contest has been
slated.

Listowel is next
for Crediton club
The Crediton Tigers will be
playing host to the Listowel
Vets at the Huron Park arena
Sunday night at 8.30 in another
exhibition start and will open
the regular WOAA season against
the Clinton Colts, also at
Centralia on Sunday, November
9.
In addition to Sunday's 10-3
loss to the Lucan-Ilderton Jets,
the Tigers downed the Centralia
Agricultural College team 5.1,
Wednesday.
Dennis Morrissey scored three
times to head up the Crediton
scoring while Terry Wade and
Tommy Anderson each added
singles.

Hawks victorious
in exhibition tilt
The Exeter junior Hawks
started their 1969-70 season off
on the right foot Tuesday night
with a 6-4 exhibition win over
Somerville's of London.
Randy Parsons and Ron Janke
led the Hawk scoring with two
goals each while Brian Campbell
and John Braid added singles.
Scoring one goal each for the
London club were Brian Sims,
Jerry Peckham, Ken Grayson
and Al Sawa.
The Hawks open their Ontario
Hockey Association Junior "D"
season in Lambeth Wednesday
night arid will be back home on
Friday, November 7 to take on
the Mitchell juniors.
