Soloist was Mrs. Linda
O'Rourke.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
floor-length dress of white
French matelasse. The bodice
was highlighted by a scooped
neckline, elbow-length sleeves
and a gently fitted waist. The
skirt was an elegant sheath. The
front of the gown was fitted
snugly while the back cascaded
fully from a tailored bow at the
back neckline. To complete her
bridal outfit, the bride wore a
fine French silk illusion fingertip
veil caught up by a rosette
headpiece enhanced by
shimmering tear-drop crystals.
She carried a bouquet of white
roses.
Maid of honor was Miss
Lorraine Hall, sister of the bride,
London. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Linda Dillon, Kitchener and Mrs.
Marlene Turner, sister of the
groom, Parkhill. Miss Robin
Turner, niece of the groom, was
flowergirl.
They were gowned alike in
long, empire-waisted gowns of
emerald green crepe. They wore
gold mums in their hair and
carried bouquets of yellow, gold
and bronze mums.
Norman Eagleson, Parkhill,
was best man. Ushers were Philip
Hall, brother of the bride, and
Wm. Baker, Hensall.
A reception followed at the
Dashwood Community Centre.
The bride's mother wore a grey
suit trimmed with white, black
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations.
For a wedding trip to Quebec
City, the bride changed to a
green wool dress and black
accessories.
They will reside at RR 3,
Parkhill.
The bride is a graduate of St.
Joseph's School of Nursing,
London.

of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Malone Jr.,
Huron Park, became the bride of
Gary Lloyd Ford, son of Mrs.
Almira Ford, Exeter, and Lloyd
Ford, London, in a ceremony
recently at Trivitt Memorial
Church, Exeter.
Candelabra and white daisies
graced the altar and baskets of
pink carnations, mauve gladioli
and white mums decorated the
chancel of the church.
Rev. G. Anderson presided
for the ceremony and wedding
music was supplied by David
Elston, London.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a
floor-length gown of crystal
peau with a mandarin neckline.
Guipure medallion lace edged
the elbow-length sleeves and
formed a double panel down the
front of the gown. The chapel
train dropped from a band of
guipure medallion lace at the
mid-back of the gown. A French
illusion four-tiered veil was held
in place by a pearled lace
medallion cluster.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Sheri Cummings, St. Thomas.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Suan
Hepi, St. Catharines and Miss
Judi Malone, sister of the bride,
Huron Park. Junior bridesmaids
were Miss Lori Hodgins and Miss
Debbie Hodgins, nieces of the
groom, Lucan. Flowergirl was
Miss Joanne Malone, sister of the
bride, Huron Park.
The senior attendants were
gowned alike in fall mauve
chiffon floor-length gowns
fashioned with frilled mandarin
necklines. The necklines,
wrist-length sleeves and bodices
were edged in floral lace. Their
bouquets were made up of
purple static, mauve daisies and
ivy and they wore matching
organdy floral headpieces.
The junior attendants wore
floor-length gowns of white
shantung trimmed with mauve
peau de sole. They wore mauve
bows in their hair and carried
small bouquets similar to those
carried by the senior attendants.
Glenn Shipman, Toronto, was
best man. Cec Hodgins,
brother-in-law of the groom,
Lucan, and William Malone,
brother of the bride, London,
ushered guests from Toronto,
New Brunswick, St. Thomas,
London, St. Catharines,
Kitchener, Jarvis, Bolton,
Thomdale,Dashwood and Exeter.
For the wedding reception at
Club Albatross, the mother of
the bride was dressed in a gold
shantung dress and matching
coat. Her hat was of autumn
colors, her accessories were
autumn rust and she wore a
corsage of yellow roses.
The mother of the groom
chose a rose crimpolene dress,
matching coat, rose hat, black
patent accessories and a corsage
of pink roses and white mums.
For a honeymoon to be spent
in Niagara Falls and the northern
USA, the bride changed to a
black and white herringbone
tweed coat dress, black patent
accessories and a corsage of
yellow roses.
On their return the couple will
reside in London.

White mums and autumn
arrangements of gladioli and
candelabra formed the
background for the wedding in
Exeter Pentecostal Tabernacle of
Marlene G. Hawgood and Neil
Hamilton, recently.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hawgood,
Brucefield, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Hamilton, Exeter.
Rev. Floyd Rhude conducted
the ceremony. Wedding music
was supplied by Mrs. Norman
Tait and Mrs. E. R. Luther, both
of Hensall.
The bride fashioned her own
A-line floor-length gown of
white crepe. The empire bodice
in the back formed a large soft
pleat which extended into a
chapel-length train. Bell sleeves
and a bow down the front of the
dress were of lace and matching
appliqued lace bordered the skirt
and the train. Her veil was
shoulder-length of tiered illusion
and she carried a cascade of red
roses.
Maid of honor was Miss
Gloria Hawgood, sister of the
bride, Radford, Virginia.
Bridesmaid was Miss Joyce
Hamilton, sister of the groom,
London.
They wore identical gowns of
deep lime green crepe trimmed
with white daisy lace at the neck
and sleeves. The lace was also
woven through their hair and
they carried bouquets of white
mums.
Dawson Hayter,
brother-in-law of the groom,
Centralia, was best man. Head
usher was Wayne Keillor,
brother-in-law of the groom,
London. Other ushers were Don
Luther, Hensall, and Laurie Van
Kleek, Vancouver.
The wedding reception was
held at Brucefield United
Church, the bride's mother
receiving in a turquoise peau de
sole dress with matching lace
coat, black accessories and a
corsage of pink carnations. The
groom's mother wore a
three-piece green and silver
knitted suit, black accessories
and a corsage of yellow
carnations.
For travelling, the bride
changed to a sheath dress and
matching full-length coat of hot
pink saltaire crepe, black
accessories and a corsage of pink
and white carnations.
The newlyweds are residing in
Guelph were the groom is
attending the University of
Guelph.
The bride is a graduate with a
Bachelor of Nursing degree from
Dalhousie University, Halifax.
The groom is a graduate of the
Western Pentecostal Bible
College, Vancouver.

A wedding trip to Eastern
Canada followed a ceremony in
Carmel Presbyterian Church,
Hensall, recently at which
Cheryl Ann Little, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Little,
Hensall, became the bride of
John David Steep, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Melvin Steep, Clinton.
Rev. W. Jarvis officiated for
the wedding. Music was supplied
by Mrs. Malcolm Dougall.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
floor-length empire style A-line
gown of crystallette with
three-quarter bell sleeves.
Imported lace accented the
sleeves and the hem. A chapel
train from the waist was
trimmed with matching lace. She
wore a three-tiered veil of silk
illusion, elbow-length, and
carried a white Bible adorned
Bridal attendants were Miss
Judy Mayer, sister of the bride,
RR 1 Kirkton; Miss. Linda Miller,,
Grand Bend; Miss Susan
McDonald, sister of the groom,
Exeter; and Miss Joanne
Templeman, cousin of the bride,
RR 1 Staffa.
They wore floor-length gowns
of green ' fortrel crepe. The
empire waistlines and necklines
were accented with yellow and
green trim and the gowns
featured leg-o-mutton sleeves..
They wore matching green roses
in their hair and carried yellow
mums and yellow daisy mums
tied with green streamers.

Following a wedding
reception in the church
basement, the happy couple left
for a honeymoon in Northern
Ontario. The bride's going-away
ensemble was a camel suit,
brown accessories and a corsage
of white orchids.

Zion United Church,
Crediton, was the scene of a
pretty autumn wedding recently
when Brenda Marie Sims and
Paul William Baker exchanged
vows before Rev. Douglas
Warren, Crediton.
The church was decorated
with yellow tapers in candelabra,
two ferns and two baskets of
yellow gladioli and gold mums
for the wedding of the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Sims,
Crediton, and the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edgar A. Baker, RR 1
Granton.
Wedding music was supplied
by Mrs. Geraldine Schenk,
Crediton. Soloist was Mrs.
Doreen Browning, Crediton,
who sang The Wedding Prayer
and Walk Hand in Hand.
On the arm of her father, the
bride had chosen a traditional
floor-length gown in empire
A-line style of guipure lace over
taffeta. It featured long lilypoint
sleeves, high frill neckline and an
attached altar train. A flower
petal veil with seed pearl cluster
held a four-tier silk illusion veil
and she carried a cascade of 24
yellow roses and ivy.
Maid of honorwas Miss
Beverly Sims, sister of the bride,
Crediton. Bridesmaids were Miss
Bonnie Sims, cousin of the
bride, Crediton, and Mrs. Elaine
Keller, Dashwood.
All attendants wore identical
gowns in eggshell blue. They
wore bow headpieces and carried
crescent cascade bouquets of
brow, gold and yellow mums
with white streamers.
Best man was David Baker,
brother of the groom, RR 1
Granton. Ushers were Grant
Thomson, cousin of the groom,
RR 6 St. Marys and Bill
Hoffman, RR 1 Dashwood.
Following the reception in
Crediton Community Centre,
the couple left for a wedding
trip to Northern Ontario, The
bride travelled in a brown and
beige dress and coat ensemble,
matching beige accessories and
an orange rose corsage.
They will reside at 939

Ron Carter, Kitchener, and
Grant Volland, Clinton.
The wedding reception was
held at Hotel Clinton.
For travelling the bride
changed to a tweed
double-breasted suit, brown
accessories and a white gardenia
corsage.
The couple will reside at

Thames Road United Church
was decorated with yellow
potted mums and yellow
candelabra for the wedding of
Joyce I. Mayer and Robert E.
McDonald October 11 with Rev.
S. Miner officiating.
Mr. and Mrs, Robert Mayer,
RR 1 Kirkton, are the parents of
the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Reg
McDonald, Exeter, are the
parents of the groom.
Soloist Mrs. Kathleen Cann,
RR 1 Hensall, was accompanied
at the organ by Miss Agnes Bray.
On the arm of her father, the
bride wore a floor-length gown
of lagoda styled with a lace
stand-up collar and lace sleeves.
The empire waistline was
accented with a white bow and a
train trimmed with lace fell from
the shoulders. A cluster of roses
held her three-tiered
shoulder-length veil and she
carried yellow roses and white
daisy mums.
