A traditional floor-length
wedding gown was chosen by
Marie Joyce Elliott, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Harold Taylor,
Seaforth, for her marriage in
First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth, recently to John
Grenville Baker, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Alex Baker, Mitchell.
Rev. C. A, McCarrol, Brussels,
officiated at the double-ring
ceremony when baskets of pink
roses, pink carnations and white
mums decorated the church.
The bride's sheath gown was
designed with high Victorian
neckline, empire waist and
lace-covered sleeves which were
true leg-o-mutton Gibson Girl
style fitted into a tight cuff. The
sleeveless bolero was of
matching lace and fell at back
into a chapel train. A halo of
tiny flowers held her triple
illusion veil which also fell into a
sweeping train at back, She
carried a cascade of red roses
and pink and white carnations
tied with white streamers.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Julene Riley, sister of the bride,
Bryanston. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Carol Horton, Goderich,
and Miss Marilyn Baker, sister of
the groom, Mitchell. They were
gowned alike in dresses featuring
berry pink velvet bodices and
pale pink crepe floor-length
skirts. The gowns were styled

Pretty autumn ceremonies
Pinks, mauves, blues popular

at Zurich.
After the rehearsal, the bridal
party were entertained by the
groom's parents.

Bo nnie Jo-Anne Such,
Goderich, became the bride of
Lionel John Loader, son of John
James Loader, Sarnia, in a
ceremony in Caven Presbyterian
Church, Exeter, Friday evening.
Rev. W. D, Jarvis performed the
marriage,
Wedding music was supplied
by Mrs, Murray Keyes, Exeter,
who also accompanied the
soloist, Mrs. Marguerite McLeod,
Exeter.
On the arm of Ronald Moore,
the bride wore a floor-length
gown of French peau de soie in
empire lines. Her floor-length
train was accented by white
satin bows at the corners and a
chantilly lace cape hung round
her shoulder to form short
sleeves. Pearl and crystal petals
held her shoulder-length veil and
she carried a nosegay of yellow
daisies with yellow streamers,
Maid of honor was Charlene
Smith, Goderich. She wore a
street-length dress of blue satin
and carried a nosegay of mixed
flowers.
Cameron McLeod, Exeter,
was best man.
Following the wedding
reception at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Blais, Grand
Bend, the bride changed to a
pink crimpknit dress, black
accessories and a corsage of pink
sweetheart roses,.
They will reside in Exeter
where the groom is an
apprentice electrician.

the groom, Mitchell, and John
Montgomery, Walton, were
ushers.
For the wedding dinner
served in the church parlor, the
bride's mother wore a
street-length dress of hot pink
sorrento silk, matching hat,
black accessories and a corsage
of lighter pink roses. A gold
surrah street-length dress, black
accessories and a corsage of deep
red roses was the choice of the
groom's mother.
A honeymoon followed to
northern points, the bride
travelling in a lilac dress,
matching hat and a single
gardenia corsage.
The young couple will reside
in Exeter.

Denfield, was the setting for the
recent wedding of Betty Morley
and Harold Guilfoyle.
Rev. Gerald Johnson
officiated and Carol Robinson,
niece of the bride, played the
wedding music.
The bride wore a street-length
dress of embossed English
crimplene with lace yoke and
petal point sleeves. She carried a
white Bible covered with red
roses and ivy.
The bridesmaid, Florence
White wore a golden English
crimplene street-length dress and
carried a bouquet of yellow and
bronze mums with ivy.
Flower girl was Krista
Morley, niece of the bride, who
wore a yellow fortrel empire
waist dress and carried a basket
of yellow and bronze mums.
Levi White ushered the
guests.
Reception was held in the
Dufferin House, Centralia.
For the honeymoon to
carnations with ivy and pink
streamers.
Bridesmaids were Miss Bonnie
Prior, London; Mrs. Barry Bloch,
sister of the bride, Exeter; and
Mrs, Norm Breen, sister of the
bride, Parkhill. Miss Michele
Dietrich, sister of the bride, RR
3 Dashwood, was junior
bridesmaid,
They were gowned alike in
powder blue gowns the same
style as the maid of honor's
dress, Their Scandinavian
bouquets featured powder blue
carnations and streamers.
Robert Merner, Zurich, was
best man for his brother.
Groomsmen were Bill Merner,
London; Barry Bloch, Exeter;
and Arnold Merrier Jr., Zurich.
Wayne Schilbe, Zurich, was
junior groomsman and Hubert
Schilbe, Zurich and Barry Bloch,
Exeter, ushered guests.
The wedding reception
followed at the Dashwood
Community Centre. The bride's
mother wore a brown crepe
dress with three-quarter lace
sleeves, gold accessories and a
brown cymbidium orchid with
gold sweetheart roses. The
groom's mother chose a forest
green coat and dress ensemble
and a light green cymbidium
orchid with yellow roses.
For a honeymoon in
Pennsylvania, the bride changed
to a red coatdress trimmed with
Persian lamb collar and cuffs,
black accessories and a corsage
of red and white sweetheart
roses.
On their return they will
reside on the groom's farm at
RR 3 Zurich.
The bride was feted at several
showers prior to her marriage.
Hostesses were Mrs. Bill Merner,
London; friends at Fashion
Shoes, London, where the bride
was employed; Mrs. Norm

Roman Catholic Church was the
scene Saturday for the wedding
of Louise Anne Marie Dietrich,
daughter of Mrs. Alexine
Dietrich, RR 3 Dashwood and
the late Pius C. Dietrich, and
Larry Thomas Merner, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Merner Sr.,
RR 3 Zurich.
Father R. Groome officiated
amid white candelabra and
baskets of white and blue
pompom mums and pink
gladioli.
Organist Lance Reed, Zurich,
accompanied the soloist Miss
Elaine Westlake, Zurich, who
sang On This Day and The
Wedding Prayer,
On the arm of her brother,
Pius Dietrich Jr., the bride
looked radiant in her
floor-length wedding gown of
white lagoda. The empire bodice
was accented by two panels of
fine chantilly lace which ran
from the bateau neckline to the
hemline and short sleeves edged
with the same lace. The soft
A-line skirt with a bow at the
waist was accented by a
chapel-length train edged in
matching lace. To complete her
bridal outfit, the bride chose a
floral cluster and crystal
headpiece holding a three-tiered
nylon veil with scalloped edges.
She carried a bouquet of pink
and red roses, stephanotis and
ivy centred with a white
symbidiurn orchid and tied with
pink velvet ribbon,

Dietrich, sister of the bride,
London wore a pink sleeveless
chiffon over taffeta gown in
empire lines with a matching
lace over-coat, scalloped down
the front and featuring a flowing
chiffon panel at back. She
carried a Scandinavian bouquet
of white mums and pink
