Extra cash
to be won!!
Need some extra cash? That
is a question that most people
will answer with a quick, YES.
One way and it could be
fairly easy is to place an entry or
entries in any of the many
classes open at this year's Exeter
Fall Fair.
It isn't necessary to be an
expert to grab a prize. Many area
residents take a great deal of
pride in their exhibits at the fair,
and each year a few more get the
urge to become regular
exhibitors.
Perhaps this year YOU could
be the one to win a ribbon for
the first time.
Prize lists are still available
from secretary Garnet Hicks or
may be picked up at the Times
Advocate.
A quick look at the prize list
may give you an idea of what
you can enter and you may be
surprised at the results.

Calf races
popular events
One of the most popular
events from a spectator's point
of view at the Exeter Fall Fair
will be staged about 4 o'clock
Saturday afternoon in front of
the grandstand.
The annual calf race is
expected to draw most of the
animals that have been entered
in various classes at the fair by
their youthful owners.
The excitement comes when
the boys and girls attempt to get
their calf to the finish line first
by various methods. They
usually push, pull or plead with
their four-footed friends.
Only halters are to be allowed
in guiding the calves in the right
direction along with any
encouragement that can be given
by hand.
Girls and boys under 14 are
eligible to compete for the $10
in prize money provided by local
Co-op shipper, William Green.

Willert and family gathered at
