OPEN CORNERSTONES OF CREDITON CHURCH — Sunday afternoon officials of the former Crediton United Church that was destroyed by fire earlier this year, opened cornerstones of the building. Among the items found were newspaper clippings of May, 1922 when the church was built, hymn books, Bibles, bulletins and keys of the original church of 1869. PATON Monday afternoon at the Green Gables Nursing Home, Parkhill, Mrs. Minnie Lewis celebrated her 90th birthday with her two sons, Mr, and Mrs. Elmer Lewis, Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs, Alvin Lewis, RR 3 Ailsa. Craig, attending, Twenty guests were on hand for the party when a birthday cake and tea were served. Mrs, Lewis has been confined to a wheel chair for more than 20 years. Parents of many of the children are employed in London and elsewhere. Arnold Mathers, principal of Huron Centennial Public School, south of Brucefield, pointed out an error in the schools enrolment report for opening day which credited his school with "emptiness" rather than the Centralia school, Among other business items, the Board instructed D.J.
