gown of white bridal satin
featuring a chantilly lace bodice
with scalloped sleeves. A
detachable chapel train of
chantilly lace fell from her
shoulders. Her shoulder-length
petal veil of silk illusion was held
in place with a tiara of crystals
and baby pearls. She carried a
cascade of white mums centered
with a mauve orchid.

Woman dies
in accident

GRAND BEND
Mrs. S. J. Mathers beloved
wife of Dr. (Rev.) S. J. Mathers
of Glen Morris died suddenly as
the result of a car accident.
She is also survived by two
sons, James and John and one
daughter Ruth.
Dr. Mathers is a former
minister of Grand Bend and
Greenway United Churches.

Templeman, sister of the bride.
They were dressed alike in
sleeveless floor-length gowns of
deep pink peau de sole. The
empire waists were accented by
a band of white velvet, which
tied in the back and fell in
streamers. They wore matching
flowers in their hair and carried
baskets of white daisies and
heather.
Attending the groom were
Frank Jaimuth, Burlington as
best man and Richard
Templeman, brother of the bride
as ring bearer.
Ushering the guests were Bob
Templeman, brother of the bride
and Glen Ruston, friend of the
groom,
Dinner followed the
ceremony in the church parlors.
Guests were present from
Claremont, Burlington, Stoney
Creek, London, Bayfield,
Beachville, Exeter, Stratford,
Mitchell and surrounding area.
For travelling the bride
changed to a sleeveless dress of
yellow crimpolene with black
patent accessories and an orchid
corsage.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was feted at several
showers. Hostesses were the
C.G.I.T. girls and their leaders at
Cromarty Presbyterian Church;
Miss Sharon Knott at the home
of her mother, Mrs. Bert Knott,
Carlingford; Mrs. Robert Mayer,
Farquhar, aunt of the bride; and
Mrs. Bert Dunn, Russeldale, aunt
of the groom.
Wednesday, August 13 the
bride, her mother and the
groom's mother assisted by her
sisters and friends displayed the
trousseau and gifts. Lunch was
served by the bride's aunts,
cousins and close friends.
