Guests were present from Goderich, Exeter, London, Simcoe, Port Colborne, Toronto, Oakville, Port Credit, Port Elgin, Windsor and Gary, Indiana. Mrs. Stan Green and Patti were in charge of the children's games and Mrs, Ted Webb and Mrs. Ed. Johns conducted adult sports. President of the organization is Ervin Guenther and secretary is Mrs. Syd Baker. PERSONALS Enjoying fishing last week while camping at Inverlocky Lodge were Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Rader and Darlene, Mr. & Mrs. Leeland Restemayer and Robert, Mr. & Mrs. Adolph Keller and Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Restemayer. Mr. & Mrs. E. R. Guenther and Mr. & Mrs. Syd Baker have returned from a motor trip to the West Coast. On the return trip they visited the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Colorado Springs. They report beautiful crops in Saskatchewan and the Western States. Rev. & Mrs. Bruce Guy and Judy have returned ' from vacationing -in Eastern Ontario, Quebec City and Windsor. Their trip included seeing Montmorency Falls, St. Anne De Beaupre Shrine and the Quebec City Aquarium, while camping in many interesting parks. Miss Dianne Rader of Stratford spent last week with her grandmother, Mrs. Hilda Haugh and Mr. & Mrs. Ray Van Dorsselaer and Robbie. Miss Pearl Kraft is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, having undergone surgery. Rev. & Mrs. Bruce Seebach and family of Hamilton spent the weekend with Mrs. Cora Gaiser and they all attended the Haugh reunion at Brucefield, Saturday. Seventy pupils enrolled in Vacation Bible School at Zion United Church for the beginning of classes Monday. The school is under the direction of Rev. Douglas Warren. Mr. & Mrs. David McLarty, Parkhill, visited with Miss Laura Mathers. Rev. & Mrs. Fred Haist of Stratford are holidaying with Miss Nola Faist. When barbecuing chicken, place skin side away from the heart to start with. Turn and baste every five to ten minutes. PARSONS REUNION The eleventh annual reunion of the Parsons family was held at Riverview park recently with 67 members attending. New officers elected for next year were president and secretary, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Parsons; sports, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Parsons and Mr. and Mrs. Frayne parsons; table committee, Mr. and Mrs. Don Parsons and Mr. and Mrs. Bev, Parsons. Winners of races were Sandra Finlayson, Donnie Parsons, Leeann Parsons, Jennie Parsons, Paul Gaiser, Timmy O'Brien, Gail Parsons, Sharon Finlayson, Tommy Parsons; Larry Parsons, Susan Parsons, Judy Parsons, Murray, Ron and David Parsons, Dale Parsons and Pat O'Brien. Relay winners were the teams of Helen Parsons and Hugh Parsons. Guessing contest, Roy Parsons; oldest lady, Mrs. Olive Andrew; oldest gentleman, Roy Parsons; youngest child, Gary Parsons; mystery prize, Mrs. Lloyd Thompson; lucky seat, Mrs. Bev Parsons. CORNISH REUNION The 36th annual Cornish Reunion was held at Riverview Park, Exeter, August 3 with a relatively good turnout. President Norman Jacques and secretary-treasurer Margaret Cornish were in charge of the reunion. Mr. & Mrs. James Wilkinson and Mr. & Mrs. Danny Coward conducted sports. Race winners were Jeff Rowe, Clayton Cornish, Dianne Rundle, Janis flern, Pebble Ford, Francis Cornish, Women .step-off 27 ft., Mrs, Ina Ford; men step-off 76. ft., Franklin Skinner; broom and thimble relay, Mrs. Don Wright; sealer ring on pop bottle, Verna Bowers team. T.,tinch conveners were Mr, .& Mrs, Don Wright and Mr, & Mrs, Bev Skinner, Oldest person present was Jack Elliot; Youngest baby Was Steven Wilkinson; shortest married couple was Shirley .and Don Wright. Number of pages in dictionary was guessed by Debbie Ford, Nancy CorniSh, Verna Bowers, and Mrs. Art Ford guessed what was in the can and Jeff Rowe guessed nearest to number of smarties in jar. PARSONS PICNIC The family of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parsons and the family of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Parsons, Tees, Alberta, held a picnic in Seaforth Park recently. A ballgame, swimming and guessing contest rounded out the activities. Doug Parsons, Alberta, was the winner of the contest. Fifty-one family members were present. HAUGH REUNION Close to 60 persons attended the first annual Haugh reunion held at the farm of Mrs. Wallace Haugh, east of Brucefield Saturday evening. After a sumptuous pot luck picnic supper, Dr. John McIntosh of Toronto showed slides of the world tour he and his wife took in March and April of this year. The tour took the McIntosh family to 17 countries of the world. Mrs. McIntosh is the former Anna Haugh. Guests were present from Kanata, Toronto, Hamilton, Guelph, Crediton, Dashwood, Brucefield and Elkton and Detroit, Michigan. It is hoped to have another similar get-to-gether next year.
