Hensall girl married
in recent ceremony
Stewart Bell and grandson
Ricky Bedard of London are
holidaying at Matachewan this
week,
Miss Troyann Bell was
successful in passing a set of
figures and a dance Saturday at
St, Thomas Figure Skating
School while her sister, Miss
Pauline Bell passed a set of
figures and a solo Sunday.
Mrs. Stewart Bell spent the
weekend in St. Thomas.
Warrant Officer Donald Orr
and Mrs. On who have been
visiting with his parents, Mr. &
Mrs. R.A. Orr and brother and
family, Mr. & Mrs. James Orr,
Crediton, left Saturday to take
up residence in Ottawa. W.O.
On has been posted to the
RCAF Station there.
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Watson,
Seaforth, and Mrs. C. Christie
and Catharine have returned
from a visit in Danbury and New
"York City where they toured
many places of interest including
the Empire State Building, the
Statue of Liberty and the United
Nations building.
Robert and Earl Hedden and
Les Kaine, St. Catharines, visited
over the weekend with Herb
Hedden and Mrs. Ruth Carter
and family, Clinton.
Mrs. Eric Luther has returned
home after attending the funeral
of her father, Kenneth
Campbell, Newfoundland, who
passed away suddenly July 10.
Mrs. Luther made the trip by
plane and spent a week there
before returning.
Mr. & Mrs. Ross Kennedy and
family of Hamilton, after
holidaying at Port Elgin, spent
the weekend with the former's
mother, Mrs. Eric Kennedy and
his uncle, Ira Geiger.
Mr. & Mrs. Karl Haslip and
family, Burlington, after having
vacationed at Inverhuron Beach
were recent visitors with the
latter's mother, Mrs. Eric
Kennedy and uncle, Ira Geiger.
Mr. & Mrs. James Sangster
visited with Mr. & Mrs,
Roobol, Hensall, last week.

wedding vows in the Church of
God, London, recently.
Rev. 0. Henderson officiated.
Donna Vonner, London, was the
soloist. • On the arm of her father, the
bride wore a white embroidered
and plain organza gown, cut on
an empire line with a rounded
neck and short sleeves. The top
portion was made with the
embroidered and cutout
organza, the pattern being used

•
to give a scalloped effect to the
neck and the edges of the
sleeves. Plain organza was used
from just below the bustline and
cascaded down into a cathedral
train. Appliques cut out from
patterned material were strewn
at random over the plain
material. Beneath the organza,
the bride wore a strapless sheath
gown of white sparkled crepe.
She carried a bouquet of red
roses.
Mrs. Emily Fountain,
London, was the bride's only
attendant in a pink cotton gown
flocked with daisies. She carried
white and pink carnations.
Lorne Roseborough, London,
was best man and Bill Fountain,
London, ushered guests.
For a wedding trip to Niagara
Falls, the bride wore a white and
pink fortrel knit dress and white
accessories.
They will reside in London.
Orr clan picnic
in Belgrave
The Orr Reunion was held at
Belgrave Arena instead of at
Wingham Riverside Park. The
weather was a little wet for an
outside picnic.
Members attended from
Detroit, London, Parkhill,
Crediton, Hensall, Wingham,
Red Lake, Chesley, Ripley,
Hollyrood, Longside and Bervie.
There were 45 present. Dinner
and supper was enjoyed by all.
The committee in charge was

Crediton and Mr. & Mrs. Wm
Albright of Detroit.. Sport

Bell, Hensall, and Rona Lynn
Danette, infant daughter of Mr.
& Mrs. Murray Bell of Exeter.
The choir under the direction
of Mrs. Malcolm Dougall sang
"The Holy City" with Garry
Scholl, soloist.
Carmel Church will be closed
during the month of August and
members will attend service in
the Hensall United Church.
Rev. Wilfred Jarvis will be on
call during the month of August.

which was conducted by their

ladies. A social hour was enjoyed
with Rev. & Mrs. Jarvis and their
five children.
