Wesley-Willis United Church
in Clinton, decorated with
candelabra and cut flowers, was
the setting recently for a
wedding at which Lynda Jane
MacDonald became the bride of
Brian Charles Sydney Sanders.
The Rev. Dr. A,J, Mowatt
performed the double-ring
ceremony and Lorne Dotterer
was organist. Bud Boyes was
soloist.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Margaret MacDonald and
the late Ronald MacDonald of
Clinton. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Aljoe Sanders of
Exeter.
Lynda Jane, given in marriage
by her uncle, Lorne Brown of
Clinton, wore a long white
lagoda gown with an Alencon
lace bodice, long, lily-point
sleeves and a cathedral lace train.
Her scalloped shoulder-length
veil emphasized the edging of
her train and was gathered
around a cluster of white silk
roses. She carried yellow roses
on a white lace bible (her
grandmother's) with stephanotis
and white ribbons.
A wedding band collar on the
mint-green wide wale ottoman
gown of Miss Sharon Brown,
maid of honor, stood over a
fitted sleeveless bodice and a
long, bell skirt fell from flat
bows at the waist.
Mrs. Marion Cornish and Mrs.
Sharon Chappel, bridesmaids,
wore gowns identical to Miss
Brown's and carried bouquets of
white shasta daisies with trailing
ivy. All wore daisy headpieces.
Nancy Lynn Pratt, the bride's
niece, was flower girl and wore a
long dress of Alencon lace,
matching the bride's gown, over
the mint green of the
bridesmaid's gowns.
Ronald Pratt, the bride's
nephew, was the ringbearer.
Peter McFalls of Exeter was
best man. The ushers were James
MacDonald, London, brother of
the bride, and Harold Chappel of
Exeter.
The bride's mother wore an
A-line dress of pink ribbon lace
with champagne-accessories. Her
corsage was white carnations.
The groom's mother wore
traditional blue with a pink
corsage.
The reception was held at the
Clinton Legion Hall and the
bride's uncle, Percy Brown, was
master of ceremonies.
For a wedding trip, to
Ottawa, Collingwood and
Sudbury, the bride wore a pale
green dress with white
accessories and a corsage of
yellow roses. The couple will live
in Exeter.
The bride's mother
entertained at a trousseau tea on
the weekend prior to the
wedding.
Prior to her marriage, the
bride was honored at showers
given by Mrs. Elmer Frey, Mrs.
Gordon Caldwell, Mrs. Cam
Pickett, Miss Sharon Brown,
Mrs. Mary Brown and Mrs. Alice
Rumble, all of Clinton; Mrs.
Sharon Chappel and Mrs. Ron
Cornish of Exeter and Mrs. Bert
Causton of Galt.

Elaine Shirley Glanville,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
G. Preszcator, RR 1 Crediton
was married Juiy 12 to William
Ronald Wayne Foran, son of
Mrs. Isobel Foran, Lucknow,
and the late Elmer Foran,
Rev. Bruce Guy, Dashwood,
conducted the service in Zion
United Church, Crediton, amid
mixed garden flowers. Music was
supplied by Mrs, Lawrence
Amos, Exeter.
On the arm of her step-father,
Stanley Preszcator, the bride
wore a floor-length wedding
gown of white French lagoda.
The bodice was highlighted by a
bateau neckline, long lilypoint
sleeves and an empire waistline.
The skirt was accented by
appliques of delicate chantilly
lace which also trimmed with
detachable train, She carried red
roses.
Maid of honor was Muriel
Glanville, sister of the bride,
Crediton. Bridesmaid was Wendy
Grasdahl, Crediton, and Brenda
Glanville, sister of the bride,
Crediton, was flowergirl.
The maid of honor and the
bridesmaid wore lime green
chiffon over taffeta with
brocaded bodices and matching
headpieces. They carried white
baby mums and yellow rose
buds. The flowergirl wore a
yellow crimpolene dress touched
with white lace and carried a
basket of baby mums and red
rose buds.
Michael Foran, RR 2
Lucknow, was best man and
Alex Blair, Belgrave, ushered
guests from Walton, Parkhill,
Princeton, Stratford, Zurich and
Lucknow.
The wedding reception was
held at the Crediton Community
Centre. The bride's mother
chose a blue lace dress and coat
ensemble and a corsage of red
rose buds. The groom's mother
wore a blue fortrel dress with a
corsage of red rose buds.
For a honeymoon. trip the
bride changed to a white lace
dress, white accessories and a
yellow rose corsage.
They will reside at RR 1
Blyth.

Rev. Robt. Wilson conducted
the wedding ceremony in the
Centralia United Church
parsonage recently at which
Carol Anne Johnson became the
bride of James Clarke
Betteridge.
The fireplace was decorated
with an arrangement of peonies
for the occasion.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson,
RR 1 Granton. The parents of
the groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Betteridge, St. Marys.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
sheer sheath over white crepe
styled with a ruffled neckline
featuring a large white crepe
bow. A front panel of French
lace enhanced the gown. To
complete her bridal ensemble,
the bride wore a French silk
illusion fingertip veil caught up
by a white floral cluster. She
carried a bouquet of white
carnations centred with a mauve
orchid.
Miss Janice Morley, RR 1
Granton, was bridesmaid. She
wore a pale lilac sheer sheath
gown with a ruffled neckline, a
panel of white French lace down
the front and long sheer sleeves
trimmed at the cuffs with
French lace. She carried a
cascade bouquet of mauve mums
and white carnations.
Best man was Ron Greason,
Uniondale.
Prior to the wedding
reception held in the basement
of Zion West United Church, the
bride and groom visited with the
bride's grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Anderson who are
patients in Kingsway Nursing
Home, St. Marys.
For a wedding trip to
Manitoulin Island and points
north, the bride changed to a
gold and grey checked coat,
matching grey dress, gold and
black accessories and a corsage
of yellow roses.
They will reside in St. Marys.

A Pennsylvania honeymoon
resort, Paradise Stream, was the
destination of Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Allan Campbell
following their marriage in
James Street United Church
recently.
The bride, Darlene Jane
Parsons is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Douglas Parsons,
Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. Allan
Campbell, RR 1 Seaforth, are
the parents of the groom.
Rev. H. C. Wilson conducted
the ceremony amid white

For her wedding, the bride
wore a floor-length white silk
peau-a-soie wedding gown
featuring a fitted bodice, lace
flowered applique around the
hemline and elbow-length
scalloped sleeves. A
cathedral-length train fell at
back. Her bouffant veil was held
by a flowered headpiece and she
carried a crescent of white and
yellow mums centred with two
orchids.
Miss Cheryl Stade, Zurich,
Mrs. Carolyn McDonald, Sarnia,
and Miss Cheryl Parsons, sister
of the bride, Exeter were the
senior bridal attendants. Miss
Sandra Campbell, niece of the
groom, RR 1 Seaforth, was
flowergirl.
The senior attendants wore
floor-length 'fine yellow linen
gowns trimmed with green and
yellow appliques around the
collars. The fitted bodices were
accented at back with narrow
panels and they carried crescents
of white and yellow daisies.
The flowergirl wore a
floor-length green taffeta gown
featuring ruffles around the
collar, sleeves and hem of the
gown. She carried a basket of
white and yellow daisies,
Doug Jeffery, Windsor, was
best man. Jim Parsons, brother
of the bride, and Brian
Campbell, brother of the groom,
Seaforth, ushered guests,
The couple was transported
to the wedding reception in the
Exeter Legion Hall on a wagon
pulled by a tractor driven by the
best man.
Later the bride changed to a
yellow dress-coat ensemble,
yellow box hat, black patent
accessories and a corsage of
yellow and white mums.
They will reside at 290
Springbank Dr., London.
The bride is employed at the
Toronto-Dominion Bank,
London, and the groom is with
L. Walters, trim contractor.
