The final Tiger markers came
in the sixth on a walk to Jim
Hayter, singles by Lovie and Bud
Desjardine and two-baggers
delivered by Bob Hoffman and
John Hayter,.
RATZ IN DUAL ROLE
In Clinton, Friday Dashwood
southpaw Dave Ratz won his
own game with a three run
homer in the top of the eighth
inning. Trailing 4-2 going into
the eighth Rats delivered the big
blow in a four run uprising.
Singles by Jim Hayter, Bill
Schade, John Hayter and Stan
Lovie set up the run potential
for Ratz's long bases clearing
drive.
On the defensive side of the
ledger, Ratz was tough in the
clutch allowing the Colts seven,
well scattered hits,
The first two Dashwood runs
came in the sixth as the result of
singles by Bob Hoffman and
John Hayter and a double from
the bat of Stan Lovie.
Lovie had a perfect night at
the plate with a double and
three singles in four appearances
at the plate, but on two
occasions was thrown out trying

The summer playground
programme is progressing
smoothly and is nearing its half
way mark.
Last Friday our Gillygoluchi
Hunt was very successful
resulting with the children
devouring a half dozen
watermelons, quite contrary to
what most of them were
expecting.
This week we are preparing
for a Pirate, Gypsie and Hobo
Parade Friday afternoon. Our
crafts are based on this idea and
some are suitable for use with
their parade costumes.
The parade will be followed
by a Wiener and Bean Supper at
Riverview Park and a sleepout
for those over eight years of age,
On July 23 our annual
Playday will be held at Hanover.
Those going will be asked to pay
a quarter for bus fare and bring
their lunch. (A beverage will be
• provided.) We are now
organizing teams for this special
event and hope to have about 60
children from seven to fourteen

With ideal weather
conditions prevailing the regular

NEED LATE RALLY
The 'Tigers needed a tour run
rally in the seventh inning to
down the Hensall Merchants
Wednesday by a score of 6-2.
A pair of walks, singles by
Bud Desjardine and John
Hayter, doubles by Robbie Wein
and (lord Vincent's triple
powered the late Dashwood
outburst.
The first two runs came as a
result of singles by Desjardine
and Vincent.
Bruce Horton drew a walk
and Robert McNaughton
doubled and a Dashwood error
produced the pair of Hensall
markers in the filth.
