Catholic Church, St. Joseph,
Saturday before Monsignor W.

The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Rau, RR
2 Zurich, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Denomme, RR 3 Dashwood.
Wedding music was supplied
by Miss Janet Rau.
Escorted to the altar by her
father, the bride chose a
floor-length gown of lagoda
crepe fashioned with a scoop
neckline and long sleeves
trimmed with guipure lace. This
same lace also extended in a
band down the full length of the
front of the skimmer style gown.
The chapel-length train which
fell from. the shoulders was also
banded in the same lace. A
four-tiered elbow-length veil of
French illusion was held by a
flowered headpiece. She carried
a bouquet of red roses, baby's
breath and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was Miss
Brenda Rau, RR 2 Zurich.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Peter
Denomme, London, and Miss
Bonnie Regier, R 2 Zurich.
Flowergirl was Miss Elise
Madore, RR 3 Dashwood.
They wore floor-length blue
chiffon dresses with matching
trains of chantilly lace and
carried blue tinted carnations.
Best man was John Jeffery,
RR 2 Zurich. Groomsmen were
Peter Denomme, London, and
Bruce Walker, Toronto.
Ringbearer was Derek Rau,
Dashwood.
For a reception in Dashwood,
the bride's mother wore a
shocking pink lace dress and
coat ensemble, white accessories
and a corsage of white roses. The
mother of the groom wore a
mint green dress and a corsage of
yellow roses.
Following a honeymoon in
Northern Ontario, the couple
will reside in Kitchener.

The Clinton Legion Hall was
the setting for the marriage of
Susanna Lois Kember and Alan
James Brandon with Mr. Albert
Joyce officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. David Kember
of Clinton are the bride's
parents. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Brandon of
Forest.
The bride given in marriage
by her father chose a
floor-length gown of imported
French faille following the
princess line. A sabrina neckline
and three-quarter length bell
sleeves with a self bow accenting
the empire waist. Clipped
alencon lace accented the bodice
and the skirt and was also
featured on the chapel-length
train. Her headpiece was a crown
of pearls and crystals which held
her four-tiered scalloped illusion
veil. She carried a cresent shaped
bouquet of deep pink roses and
ivy.
Miss Joanna Kember, sister of
the bride, was the maid of
honour. She wore a deep pink
floor-length gown with matching
headpiece. She carried a cresent
shaped bouquet of white and
yellow shasta daisies.
Groomsman was Lorne
Brandon, brother of the groom,
and ushers were Marshall
Hodgson and Paul Kember.
Following the reception at
the Legion Hall, the bride
changed to a soft yellow, white
and mauve plaid coat, dress and
hat ensemble and a corsage of a
mauve orchid.
After their wedding trip to
Niagara Falls and the Eastern
States as far as Washington, the
couple will reside at
Ravenswood.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Zurich, was the scene May 24
for the wedding of Barbara Ann
Willert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold L. Willert, Hensall, to
Leroy Douglas Oesch, son of
Sgt. and Mrs. Leroy Oesch,
Clinton.
Rev. A.C. Blackwell, Zurich,
officiated at the double-ring
ceremony. Organist was Mrs.
Rita Desch, Zurich, and the
soloist was Bill Cooke, Clinton.
Escorted by her father, the
bride wore a gown of imported
French lagoda with a rounded
high collar and inserts of Venice
lace on the bodice. The long
lilypoint sleeves featured Venice
Lace applique and matching
Venice lace applique touched
the skimmer style skirt. A
cathedral court train falling from
a bow at the back shoulder was
enhanced by Venice lace
appliques. Her French silk
illusion fingertip veil was caught
up by a rhinestone tiara and she
carried a cascade bouquet of
yellow roses, stephanotis,
ribbons and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was Miss Patsy
Willert, sister of the bride,
Hensall. Bridesmaids were Miss
Nancy Oesch, sister of the
groom, Clinton, and Miss Sharon
Willert, sister of the bride,
Hensall. Flowergirl was Miss
Peggy Willert, sister of the bride,
Hensall.
The senior bridal attendants
wore identical floor-length
mauve gowns with trains
accented with guipure lace on
the edges. Their headpieces were
matching mauve touched with
guipure lace and they carried
baskets of yellow and mauve
mums. The flowergirl wore a
yellow floor-length dress styled
identical to the senior
attendants' gowns with the train
trimmed with daisy lace and
carried a basket of yellow' and
mauve mums.
Best man was Barry
Mousseau, cousin of the groom,
Hensall. Ushers were Don Oesch,
brother of the groom, Ottawa,
and Jerry Oesch, brother of the
groom, Rochester, NY.
Ringbearer was Paul Elliott,
cousin of the groom, Tavistock.
The wedding reception was
held at the Zurich Community
Centre. The bride's mother wore
a green brocade dress with white
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations. The groom's mother
wore a blue lace dress, pink
accessories and a corsage of pink
carnations.
For a honeymoon trip to
Bermuda, the bride travelled in a
white two-piece suit, black
accessories and a corsage of red
carnations. On their return the
couple will reside in Clinton.
Wedding guests attended
from Rochester, NY., Paris,
Brantford, Ottawa, Toronto,
Stratford, Sudbury, Ridgetown,
Tavistock and the surrounding
area.

Ann VanDuyn, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Nick VanDuyn, RR
3 Exeter, became the bride of
Robert Wesley Oke, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Oke, RR 1 St.
Marys, in a ceremony in Bethal
Reformed Church Saturday.
Rev, Harmen Heeg conducted
the ceremony amid yellow and
white floral arrangements and
candelabra studded with yellow
tapers.
Wedding music was provided
by Mrs. Garret VanSteeg,
Hensall.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a
floor-length wedding gown of
white lagoda. The bodice was
highlighted by a bateau neckline,
elbow-length sleeves and an
empire waistline. Elegance was
portrayed in the gently
controlled A-line skirt touched
with two panels of delicate
chantilly lace, also used to trim
the bodice. The main centre of
attention was focused on the
detachable chapel train
cascading from a tailored bow at
the back neckline and
completely silhouetted with
hand-clipped appliques of the
same chantilly lace. To complete
her bridal ensemble, the bride
wore a French pure silk illusion
fingertip veil caught up by a
floral cluster. She carried a
bouquet of white mums with
yellow centred orchids.
Maid of honor was Miss Nelly
VanDuyn, RR 3 Exeter.
Bridesmaid was Miss Connie
VanDuyn, also of RR 3 Exeter.
They wore floor-length gowns of
turquoise chiffon, matching
headpieces and carried nosegays
of yellow roses, white carnations
and baby's breath.
Best man was Art Sweetzir,
RR 1 St. Marys. Gordon Oke,
RR 1 St. Marys and John
Hoonard, RR 3 Walton, ushered
the guests.
For receiving her guests at the
Exeter Legion Hall the bride's
mother wore a turquoise dress
and jacket ensemble with white
accessories and a corsage of
yellow roses. The mother of the
groom chose a green colored
dress and accessories, and a
corsage of yellow carnations and
mums.
For travelling to Northern
Ontario, the bride wore a mauve
coat and dress, beige accessories
and a corsage of white orchids
with mauve throats.
The couple will reside in
Hensall.
Nadu - Re9ier
A wedding trip to Northern
Ontario followed the June 7
marriage of Mary Sheila Regier
and Donald Francis Masse in Our
Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
