The choir of St. Boniface
Church, Zurich, was
accompanied by Mrs. Stephen
Meidinger at the organ Saturday
for the wedding of Laura Ann
Grenier, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. George Grenier, RR 1
Dashwood, and Glen Francis
Overholt, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Overholt, Centralia.
Rev. A. Durand performed
the ceremony amid baskets of
pink gladioli and white and
yellow mums.
Escorted by her father, the
bride wore a floor-length gown
of lagoda crepe fashioned with a
scoop neckline. Pearled chantilly
lace outlined the empire gown
and a detachable train hemmed
with chantilly lace fell from a
large bow at the back waist. Her
chantilly lace headpiece was
crested with pearls and held her
shoulder-length veil. She carried
deep pink roses and white
mums.
Bridal attendants were Judy
Regier, London, Rose Marie
Grenier, Dashwood, and Barbara
Grenier, sister of the bride,
Dashwood. They wore
floor-length gowns of lilac
chiffon with a matching cape.
They carried flower baskets of
light pink carnations and white
mums.
Gary Overholt, Centralia, was
best man. Gerard Grenier,
Dashwood, and John Overholt,
London, ushered the guests.
The wedding reception was

A floor-length gown of blush
pink pure silk organza was
chosen by Donalda Irene Wise,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Basil
Preszcator, Exeter, for her
marriage Saturday in James St.
United Church to Robert James
Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs.
James Wilson, London.
The gown featured a fitted
bodice highlighted by delicate
Swiss guipure lace forming a
high collar and long full sleeves
caught by cuffs at the wrists. A
wide belt gave the effect of a
cumberbund, while elegance was
portrayed in the gently
controlled bell skirt. A wide
band of the same Swiss lace
silhouetted the hem. The main
centre of attention was focused
on the pink silk organza chapel
veil, also touched at the bottom
with lace, and caught up by a
matching bow accented by a
short blusher veil and soft
streamers. She carried eighteen
white and pink sweetheart roses,
lily of the valley and white satin
ribbon.
Rev. Hugh C. Wilson
officiated at the ceremony amid
pink candelabra and ferns.
Preceding the bride to the
altar were Miss Connie
Robinson, London, and Miss
C h a rm a ine Wise, Exeter,
bridesmaids who provided a
colorful background in their
full-length gowns of shimmering
seaform silk shantung. Sleeveless
fitted bodices were accented by
delicate ruffles at the high
neckline. Their slightly gathered
skirts fell from wide belts at the
waists. To add a final touch,
they wore matching bow
headpieces and carried hand
clusters of light pink roses, lily
of the valley and light pink
velvet ribbon.
John Charles Thomas,
London, attended the groom as
best man, and Peter Balsano,
London, ushered guests.
The wedding reception was
held in James St. Church parlors
and the Exeter Legion Hall. The
bride's mother chose a cocktail
dress of delicate French
chantilly lace in sapphire blue
styled along skimmer lines. A
scalloped cape-effect fell from
the gathered V-neckline trimmed
with a large matching organza
bow, she wore a white organza
hat, white accessories, a mink
stole and corsage of deep red

with bell sleeves and an empire
waist, white accessories, a mink
stole and a white gardenia
corsage.

of white lagoda. The empire
style was trimmed with guipure
lace on the neckline and long
sleeves. A flowing train cascaded
from the back of the gown and a
pearl tiara held her
shoulder-length veil. She carried
red roses and white daisies.
